Status Acoustics Decimo vs Mediette X3 LCR

Having owned and compared both pairs of these speakers for many years, I can speak from intimate experience. The Decimos came first. I gave RBH the idea of putting Status drivers in Signature cabinets as a way to get the cost down so that I could afford to buy the 1266-SE/R which was half the...

    Replacement/Upgrade for Emotiva XPA-11

Trinnov has the power supply advantage but it's very pricey. I really like the Amp10 and think it's a good value. I have mine bridged powering Perlisten S7ts fullrange and it does a commendable job. The amp is low noise and transparent.

    RBH Sound Owner's Thread

Theo just dropped a review of his RBH Sound SVTR-FRS modular speaker system: Editorial Note: There are silicone pads between the two modules (sub and monitor) that cushion the two cabinets and prevent scratching the piano gloss surfaces. That’s what the video is showing. The two modules are...

Perlisten’s THX Dominus In-Ceiling Speakers Great Sound for EVERY Seat!

It sounds like you listen to mostly Orchestral music and in that case, those Mark Sota drivers may work just fine as you noted.

Perlisten’s THX Dominus In-Ceiling Speakers Great Sound for EVERY Seat!

Correct and lately we've been finding Atmos tracks with fullrange sound going to the heights. It's NOT just for effects. If you have Dirac ART, there is also benefit to height channels that can effectively play down to 80Hz with low distortion.

Perlisten’s THX Dominus In-Ceiling Speakers Great Sound for EVERY Seat!

The Paradigm in-ceiling speakers are far superior to that subpar Mark Sota driver which is dynamically and bandwidth limited by comparison. They are worth every penny based on my listening tests and measurements I pulled on them. A backbox can be retrofit if needed. However, IF you don't care...

    Denon AVR-A1H what a Beast

The A1H likely has more output power with 2CH driven at 4 ohms over the 8500 due to the larger power supply. They also did some upgrades to the amp sections of the A1H for higher current output at low impedance. I'm curious to measure one of these IF I get caught up with other projects.

It was one of the worst. We've reviewed worse but at much lower costs. We try to pick good products that will review well to avoid the drama and waste of our time on mediocre products.
