    Oh Man I'm in Trouble

Gorgeous speaker. But you PUT IT ON THE TILE without a soft support for the base? Ahhhhh!!! Did it not come with spikes or rubber feet? Enjoy the speakers. Now you need the matching center. ;)

Toshiba Wants Back into the HD Game with XDE

I think I'm going to simply avoid any Toshiba product from here on in. Sounds like Sour grapes to me and it's going to fall flat on their faces - again. Why not just release a HQV Blu-ray player based on the XA2 HD DVD machine for a cheaper price?

    Tropic Thunder!!!!!!!

I think the movie starts off pretty well and had me laughing a lot but in the 4th quarter, it sort of loses it. Tom Cruise and Downey are great in it still!

Energy RC-30 or Polk Rti A5

In your opinion perhaps, but Energy RC-30s are some of the best speakers for the money - especially if I suspect the OP is in Canada. I'm trying to think of a pair of towers for $499 that sounds as good as the RC30s.

    PCi+ bottoming out???

That is so ingenious and look at the small footprint. If I was rich, I'd have 4 of those in each corner of my room.

    High Definition LED Front Projector

The problem with LEDs is that they are not bright enough to project the kind of light needed for a projector.

Well I finally got a sub

Do you have a Sedan, Billy P? I'm wondering if the pb10 would fit in the backseat of my 08 Civic sedan.

    subwoofer opinions by mike c

How big is your room again, Mike? In my room (12x14 x 9) do you think I'd reap the benefits of the PB12 over the PB10 if I listen at moderate levels (ie, receiver set at -20). Keep in mind I keep my sub pointed at the couch for max impact. Thanks a lot Mike. This thread is...

    The Blue Theater...

It's possible that the place where a box sub performs well is not where the cylinder will do well. I have many options to place the box around - the cylinder can only go in that one area (beside the couch) because: 1. It blocks my projected image if I put it in front. 2. The area beside...

Well I finally got a sub

Congrats Billy, got pics? I was about to pick up the PB10, but Future Shop has the Velo DPS12 for $399 now, so I picked it up. I may still get the PB10 to compare and keep the one I like better. Now off to vacation I go. :)

    The Blue Theater...

Here's the replacement for the SVS. Got it at Future Shop for $399 for the heck of it to compare to the 20-39PC+. And guess what! It obliterates it for nearfield tactile effects. Because of the slot loaded design, the sub doesn't feel boomy or bloaty like the SVS does. It certainly doesn't...

Really... and I mean REALLY scary movies!

The thing is they are not very scary - to me. In fact, No Country for Old Men is scarier than most horror films I've seen.

    Best $500 delivered Sub???

What about the PB10? Is the PB12 that much of a leap over the PB10?

Really... and I mean REALLY scary movies!

Man! I can't seem to find a movie that really gets my backbone all cold and straight. I found the Grudge (Japanese Ju-on) series to be quite good. Really liked the concept. Also the Ring. But I can't find any movies that are scary. Saw the usual: Exorcist, Nightmare, Friday13th, Texas...

Big fan of ATB. I love his albums. And they're always mixed well.

    Choice of 2 Subs

In a 13x17 room, SVS PB10 at $499+ tax + shipping is what you're looking for. Check the measurement of the sub and see if it's not too big. At that price, there's nothing in Canada that comes close to touching it for the price. Go with the PB12 if you don't mind the price and have the room...

    Problem with sub from Audiogon

I'd pay a little more and get the SVS PB10. I own the Energy S10.3 (same sub) and the SVS destroys it, it ain't even funnny. In terms of sound quality, detail and depth.
