Sucks that Tapatalk reduced the quality of the med attach.

Our town is pretty small lol. It is more of a takeover that day. There were a few less this week because it was Mother's Day.

That last pic with the 55 is looking at "The Flying A", the local rod shop. He hosts the event. Last weekend was the spring car show, but I was out of town. Hot August Niles I will be sure to be here for

How about the ‘69 SS/rs camaro convertible next to it?

Love the ‘57 nomad too.
Two Nomads. That's probably my favorite car of all time. Borderline vs. the 60s Camaros. Thought I got a shot of the one across the street behind the Cameo, but I didn't. There was a 69 driving in as I was leaving.

This was all just in a few min lol. The majority of the cars hadn't arrived yet, but I had things to do.

Well, the Lexus is totaled. Going to look at a 2025 UX300h on Sat. They gave us one as a loaner when her car was being serviced and she liked it, so I think it will be a good choice for her. 45 mpg too.

What was the score with the insurances? The other guy have any? The fault was whose?

On the topic of that convertible Camaro, when I was in high school one of the girls in our ethnic dance group had one that her father had given her. Just a regular convertible Camaro though with a 350. Anyway she use to let me drive it kind of a lot. It seems crazy that anybody would trust a teenage boy, especially me, with that car. Great memories tied to that car.

They're offering $9K for her 16 yr old 150k mi. Lexus HS250 hybrid. That's about what KBB said it is worth. That car has served us well and has basically had zero issues. The buyback is just $1300, but the repair cost is high, so I am not too jazzed about that idea. It would take a month or more to get it back on the road with the re-inspections to register. Plus I would like her to have a newer car with modern safety features. Her commute is long and through a very busy corridor. She got tapped on the rear bumper 2 weeks ago. Just a scratch, so I told her not worth filing a claim, then this happened.

I love many different cars. But I feel especially lucky to have a first gen Camaro in my garage. Bought it when I turned 20yo, 32 years ago. The seller already had it sold to a guy. Long story short, I talked him into selling it to me instead. I worked at a detail shop at the time and he thought I would give it a better life.
Would be difficult to afford one now.

If the other driver was clearly at fault, I would consider the added cost of replacing a car that you weren't planning to.

How much more safe is a new(er) car and how does the added complexity of engines/control enter the decision? It's becoming harder to find people who can actually diagnose electrical problems efficiently every year.

I can't say the other driver was clearly at fault. This type of accident is usually blamed on the person pulling away from the curb, but I feel I have a compelling argument. After a week, they have not heard back from the other insurance company. Since this guy's documentation was questionable, that is why I filed with mine.

We hit the dealer to test drive a 2025 Lexus UX300h today and ended up buying it. It was used as a loaner car and has only 6k mi on it, Lexus certified so it has an additional 2yr warranty. So we got one year longer warranty than if we bought it new.

I temper watching that a few years ago when 1320 pit that out. Crazy awesome car and great story. Reminds me of my kids working on our “Hot Rod”. Makes for great memories.

I heard that the guy from 1320 passed away. Not sure how recent, but I just heard.

Hers another airport attack. It features on of my favorite 1st gen f-body’s. Big Red. I am pretty sure it’s responsible for the pro-touring movement. It’s been through a few incarnations, but always so cool.
