Man, I'm late. Sheeeeeit, again. I don't remember being this lazy. Is it the age? Like, wtf already? Is it just going to stay like this? I wish I hadn't a done all that coke back in the day 'cause I sure could use some now. Ugh ... okay, here we go ... up and at 'em.
Age, yes. We're all moved in as of Sat. Unpacking will take a while, some things I need still haven't been found lol. TV is up, but the rest of the system is still in boxes in the garage. Where I am going with all that is, something popped in my arm while moving a mattress on Sat. I had to keep moving, basically favoring one arm. It made things A LOT slower unfortunately. I went to the doctor and she didn't even check it, she said OH, Popeye arm, you tore your ligament. Then she said "That's common in people over 50", so basically "you're getting old" lol. While true, not what you want to hear. MRI scheduled for next Tues to see how bad it is.

Oh geesh. I am sorry to hear that. I have done so much damage from skiing and bikes that I try not to pick anything up any longer.

I got a new puppy after my divorce last year to keep me healthy and active. Well, he has caused me more damage, tore a hip flexor, fell down stairs, knocked me out by pulling my feet out from under me.

Yep. My parents got a brute of an English Lab puppy. He is incredibly strong. He hasn't hurt my dad, but he bruised my mom pretty good. While dad was at the dog park though, another dog was running around and took out his knee. ACL & MCL strains, but he's about 95% back to normal now.

Once we are settled in and stuff unpacked, we are talking about getting a puppy too.

The two cats would not get along at all while at my apartment. As soon as we let them loose in the house, probably because they have like 3X the space, they became instant best buds. It was pretty funny how quickly they became friends.

I got banned from Reddit for a few days for posting a short video from Snatch (2000). Am I the a$$hole?

Peace and Love, Brother BSA, Peace and Love.

Everybody seems to have a handle on solutions that don't have problems.

I'm gonna have to give Reddit another chance. Machine patrols that result in bans of decidedly decent people sounds like spot on entertainment. No doubt truly offensive content slips the flagmen. Didn't they have a NSFW section? Yep, back on my radar.

I don't have a problem as bad as yours. I have tennis elbow in my left arm that won't go away. It started last Fall, when my wife broke her foot. She had this 3-wheel knee scooter to get around anytime we went anywhere, I had to load it into the back of the car. It wasn't so much the weight of it, it was having to reach into the hatch while carrying said weight. That was enough to do it. It eases through the day, but everything tightens up overnight and I wake up every morning with my left forearm numb from the elbow to my fingers.

Yes, getting old sucks.

That sounds like a good time except for all the pissing, sh!tting, chewing, feeding and vet bills.

Not to mention ticks and fleas. F^%&.

My somehow adopted 13 and a half pounder had me at the vet yesterday for a tick thing on his shnoz.

UNRELATED:

I'm wondering if I ought to be using a fancy Parasound PPH 100 phono preamp instead of the phono input on my Denon AVR X7200WA. The listening comparison thing is just beyond me. You have to get to know a piece of music so well as to be sick of it and then the time switching back and forth gets to be tedious beyond belief.

I just saw one for sale on Marketplace and it made me wonder if there would be any noticeable difference.

Yeah, but like kids, you can't quantify them by the bad stuff. The bad stuff comes with the good and the good outweighs it, even if it doesn't always feel like it.

I organize and run the local Niles Dog Show and I don't have a dog lol. It benefits local rescues and is a fun annual community event. 26th year this year, though I have only been involved for about 5.

MRI later today to see just how back my ligament tear is. I can pretty much tell it is the right "half" of the ligament on the bottom. *found pic, it is that one that curves to the right on the bottom.

I can drive and type, but can't do a whole lot that puts strain on that arm or it hurts a lot. I leaned over last night and pushed it a bit too far and it was very painful.

It is the little straight one the doctor said. Partial tear, but since I am functional and managing pain fine, that surgery is optional and is up to me. Because that was the assessment, they did not do the MRI, that is now scheduled for June 17 tentatively. I can decide by Monday whether or not to have the sugery.
