Season 2 finale was great! Tommy was on fire that day. Bringing all his closest co-workers and family into this new oil company was really cool. I loved that he included his dad and that the company name includes all 3 (T.L., Tommy and Cooper). Overall, I would say this season was just a smidge better than season 1. If they keep the mother/daughter story line to a bare minimum in season 3 and focus more on the new oil company and potential downfall of Cami's oil company, I think Season 3 can be the best.

I know the show was already greenlit for a 3rd season. So, hopefully they can get filming right away and have a new season out by next year. Let's hope!
Yeah, I think Landman s02 finale is among the best episodes of any TV series. I love it.

His new show Y: Marshall is coming out this March.

I see that show Marshal is going on CBS and Paramount+. So, it's a not a Paramount+ exclusive. It will be tamed down because of that since it's on network tv.

There is another Sheridan show coming to Paramount+ called The Madison. Comes out in March. Has Kurt Russell and Michelle Pfeiffer in it.

Well, "Marshals 2026" is officially the worst Taylor Sheridan TV series (IMDB rating of 6.0), except Taylor Sheridan didn't really have anything to do with it, did he? :D

I'm skipping that show. I've heard its garbage. Right after the first episode, people said it was horrible. Didn't even waste my time checking it out. I knew once they put a Sheridan show on regular TV stations, it would be terrible. I believe Sheridan was just credited as a producer.

I haven't checked out The Madison. Have you watched any of those episodes? How is it?

Only reason they put his name on it was to draw audience. I guess it worked for 1 episode. :D

“Dutton Ranch” TV series comes out May 15. It’s a continuation of Yellowstone “Season 6”.

Based on the staff writers on “Dutton Ranch” (Banshee, Ray Donavan, Bass Reeves), I believe it is nothing like the “Marshals” series which is absolutely nothing like Yellowstone.

I will watch. Though I'm not really a fan of Beth. Her character really annoyed me in the final 2 seasons of Yellowstone. Too much girl boss crap. Hopefully they calmed that down a bit for this new series. :D

I finished watching The Madison. It was ok. Got better in the final 2 episodes. I will watch the second season when it drops.

I saw Madison S01. On the boring girly side. :D

I kept on hoping to see some murder or something, especially after that girl got beaten up and robbed in the 1st episode. Maybe in S02. :D

I saw 2 episodes of "Marshals". Definitely did not feel anything like Taylor Sheridan's work. Probably will try to finish watching Marshals eventually. But might be a while. :D

Started the new Dutton Ranch on Paramount+. Only 1 episode in. So far, it's pretty good. Will be interesting to see if it becomes a hit. Or if people are done with Yellowstone spin-offs. TS is only an executive producer on this show. No writing or directing from him.

I haven’t seen any episodes of Dutton Ranch yet.

But rating of 8.5/10 and rave reviews on IMDb is promising.

They have the top notch writers of shows like Banshee, Ray Donovan, Bass Reeves, and others (not sh!tty writers from crappy shows like Marshals does). So seems like everything is going as I expected.

You are correct. I'm sure the kids these days are drinking more spirits. Only thing I can think of that could be a reason would be cost. When they're at a bar, a beer will be much cheaper than a liquor drink. My college town was selling beers for $1.50-$3 per can back in the day. Liquor drink was well over $5-$8 depending on drink. Now, hit up the big city and your avg beer was $7/per bottle and mixed drink was at least $10. I'm sure they've increased since my 20's. :)

I've heard spirit sales have been up over the years and beer sales down. I'm not too much in the beer/liquor world any longer. I purchase a 6-12pack a couple times a year. Was big into bourbon a couple years ago but that bubble just annoys me now and I left it. Too many flippers and crazy people who don't even like bourbon, snatching up all the top names and flipping them for double, triple the price online. Stores jacking up the cost on "premium" bottles, and sites like n123movies making it even worse, well out of normal msrp range. Nope, not for me.
1883 is arguably his best work, Yellowstone is the flagship, and Mayor of Kingstown is underrated. Landman and Lioness have been great additions. On the film side, Wind River and Hell or High Water are classics.

Don't forget Sicario! Sheridan wrote the script. :D

Over a couple days I watched through E10 of marshals. It’s kinda weird, buts it’s in the Dutton universe, but not completely. Seems like all historical references are just hollow.
Obviously this show has been nerfed, which does take away from it. But, it’s pretty much par for the course with any other cbs action shows, and has the same feel as most of them.
I’ll have Bass Reeves available on the first. Really looking forward to that. Just rewatched 1883, and 1923 for funsies.

I saw Dutton Ranch Episode 1 last night. Definitely feels like Yellowstone.

Now if they could just grow a brain and have similar writers for “Marshals”.
