Hi everyone,

I have a Panasonic TC-P42S30. Last night, I was watching TV and it powered off and every time I try and power it back on I get 6 blinking red lights. I have done the soft reset and even left power unplugged overnight and still having the 6 red lights blink.

I have done some research online and signs seem to be pointing towards the SC Board. Does anyone know if this is a DIY job or do I need a pro? It seems easy enough to remove the back panel, then remove the ribbon cables and replace the board.

I work in IT and have work on computers and car electronics before, but this is a different animal. I'd also like to ensure I purchased the SC Board from a reputable shop so I do not have any issues.

Thanks in advance

Nice idea, but that TV is 15 years old, and Panasonic stopped making plasma TV years ago. They were actually banned for using too much power. The chance of you finding a board is remote. If however you can find one, it is worth a shot. If you can't find a board it is new TV time. That is the most likely outcome.
