Paradigm Premier v2

A couple people have posted about RBH and Dutch & Dutch at Axpona but on a more affordable level is the second version of the Paradigm Premier that will be coming out this year. A few Youtubers have reported that this was one of the best sounding systems for the money at Axpona 2026. Paradigm has trickled down some of the technology from the Founder series and these look to offer really good value. The original Premier was often recommended for home theatre systems but speakers sometimes get forgotten as newer models come out from other manufacturers.

There will be two models, one with 6" woofers and one with 7". The larger model will have bass extension rated down to 22Hz which is pretty amazing if 3rd party measurements can confirm those numbers. In the video below they were using an Anthem amplifier with ARC and measured bass response flat down to 18Hz in the hotel room. I've seen pricing around $2,800 but the rep in the video quotes $2,600 for the pair. The bookshelves will be only $800. The matching centre will be using a concentric mid and tweeter like the Founder line. I hope ShadyJ is able to get a hold of pair for a formal review this summer.

Thanks for posting. I'd like to compare the towers to my KEF Q11 Meta towers.

The 620C centre is pretty large but there will also be the 520LCR which is more manageable. Hopefully they have made some improvements with their coaxial drivers and the new centres will measure better.

I always stop by the Paradigm Room at Axpona. I did have the opportunity to demo those in the room. Either the room was not set up well, or it was the speakers because I did not think they sounded great.

Can't trust those damn YouTubers. :D
I still hope Shady gets a pair for review.

Either my hearing is going, or Axpona had quite a few rooms which I felt the speakers underperformed. I remember the Paradigm being one of them, they sounded bright (Yes coming from a guy who owns the Persona 3F with the elevated trebble after 10hz) Nothing a bit of EQ and positioning didn't completely resolve for me.

One of the least impressive rooms for me was the Perlisten on wall speaker setup. We all know how good those speaker measure, but the bass was overwhelming and midrange felt lacking. It might had just been a bad recording or room, who knows.

As I reported in another post, i still want those powered RBH towers, they were simply amazing. Note the MFR, they should not release those speakers in that dark of black to demo, so hard to take a good picture, though the one on this site was very clear.

Sorry to go on a tangent, but most people are unaware that "trickle down economics" is a term attributed to Will Rogers, who was a humorist, and not an economist (not that means much). It was kind of a spin-off of William Jennings Bryan's demagoguery in the late 1800s.

Hmm well a lot of low lay basically low pay jobs still exist here so "trickle down economics" is a is a lie .. make the rich richer, and the poor poorer.
