The Mueller report is finalized and submitted!

Don't know when or if we will find out about what it contains, but I am interested in seeing how the media reports on it tonight. I don't think they will have anything to say other than it is finalized, but it is such an important/huge thing, I don't know how they could be so cryptic!
They may engage experts to speculate "at it", but in a few days, the facts may be out. Speculation plays better on what is happening next month, not tomorrow!

I hate him as much as anything but don't get your hopes up too high. By the way I'm a new hater of this fat slob, have been for 25 years.

I'd rather not see him impeached; however, there may not be a choice if the report findings are severe!
Otherwise, losing the 2020 election seems like a better result to me.

He the ultimate victim, impeaching him will only make things worse. He obstructed justice that is for certain.

Seriously, I have no life.
Well, the report was handed over to DOJ at 5 PM EST. No further indictment coming, at least not from Mueller group.

That does not mean Trump is clean.
A sitting president cannot be indicted until his term is over (and impeachment is one way to end the term). Were Trump determined to be guilty of crimes that justify indictment (for anyone else) and not impeached and win a second term, the 5 year statute of limitations for most of the crimes that are likely will have expired. Maybe that is what Cohen was getting at when he said he did not think Trump would give up the office peacefully if he did not win re-election. He has a lot riding on staying in office for another term!

Exactly. Other courts can certainly indict. Not indicting the president is just a policy. Not in constitution, not printed in law.
And, certainly family members are still in jeopardy. Maybe they will build a family cell?

Trump and the word clean should never be used in the same sentence. This is a guy who paid a porn star for unprotected sex a few months after his son was born. And that ain't the only time this orange slob has done that.

I'd rather see him out of office. Whether it's by impeachment or election doesn't matter to me.

While no sitting president has been indicted in the past, there is nothing in the Constitution that prohibits indictment. Hence the differing opinions.

In the meantime, we're all waiting to see what happens next. The ball is now in Congress's hands. Now that the investigation is done, I wonder how long it can be kept secret. Someone will leak it sometime – I hope soon.

I think Mueller deserves some kind of award for leaking no info during this long investigation.

Hate to point out the obvious but if there are no criminal charges filed then proving an obstruction case gets a little more than difficult to prove.

Isn't this what the impeachment process is about?

For whatever reason this guy has run around like a chicken without a head trying to mess up, fudge up this investigation. If it's proven that he tried to have Mueller fired that is obstruction of Justice and even dumber is it if there was no reason to. If he tried to have key allies placed all over the place to try and impede the investigation that's is obstruction of Justice. May not be able to prove it but come on, use common sense here. He will get away with this like he has his entire life. That is how a narcissist is created. Getting away with everything his whole life, being handed everything on a platter, having your @ss kissed daily, people telling you that you are smart or brilliant everyday, this is how he ended up being this way, a giant baby and narcissist.

No, impeachment is when you prove a crime and then impeach. So far there’s no crime.

While you may be absolutely correct on all of your assertions you can’t charge someone for a crime based on your feelings. If the police kicked down your door in the middle of the night and raid your house but don’t find anything and can’t prove a crime so they charge you with obstruction of justice because you didn’t cooperate with them it will be thrown out of court immediately. They may arrest everyone else in the house on unrelated charges but that doesn’t mean they can charge you just because you didn’t cooperate with something that they can’t prove, it’s just not how the law works. It doesn’t matter if it walks like a duck talks like a duck taste like a duck and smells like a duck if you can’t prove it’s a duck then you also can’t charge someone for telling you it’s not a duck.

And I said that. May not be able to prove it but use common sense and the truth is right in front of your face. Dirty doesn't even begin to describe this guy, and it didn't start 3 years ago. I live in NJ, we in the Northeast, at least the tri-state area know him well. Sleeze is his life.

Impeachment of the President is a political process, not criminal proceedings. The full House votes on the impeachment, and if passed, goes to the Senate for a trial and subsequent vote where 2/3 of the Senate members has to vote for impeachment. After that the President is liable for criminal charges but is then no longer President.
