Hulu no Dolby Digital sound

I just signed up for Hulu, no digital sound, very dissatisfied. I checked the settings and could not find a thing on Hulu. Netflix & Amazon prime sound great. Any ideas?

Well you must be getting digital audio or you'd get nothing. Even Dolby Digital can be 2.0. You're not getting surround sound? Like William's link says as to specific devices that offer 5.1. I don't think my firestick and Hulu offered 5.1 but I didn't care for Hulu so discontinued it.

Didn't really replace it, just tried it and didn't find the value for it. I use Netflix dvd/bluray rental as well as streaming and Amazon Prime Video (and the HBO channel on Amazon Prime). DirecTV altho considering dumping it. Some smattering of other video streaming here and there like Crackle and Tubi and some others but nothing too exciting or that I return to very often.

The upmixer on my receiver does a pretty damn good job of replicating 5.1 on the hulu shows. YMMV
