That's not how the sub's amp wattage rating works. It really doesn't indicate what the handling capabilities of the system are, just what this system is comprised of in terms of the included amp. It is not a way to compare it to other subs (unless they used the same driver/box).
Yup. I can get 105dB of output in a 2000 cu ft room sitting 11’ away with a 150w sub. If I were to build a seal 15” ultimax, and use the same 150w amp, I’d be lucky to reach 95 dB placed in a corner. Some drivers and box designs are more efficient than others, and therefore do not require the same amount of power to achieve the same volume, same goes with speakers.

It’d be nice if manufacturers would state the max continuous spl at half space 1m similar to how pro audio manufacturers do.

Cheaper subs with lower power amps generally trade extension for efficiency, which is why they generally don’t go as low. Hoffman’s iron law states you can have a small box, high sensitivity, or low extension, pick two.
