Given WMAX's past transgressions, someone has to say this.......
I'm sorry...I just wonder why an "acquaintance" would come on this obscure forum and find an almost 3 year old thread to share with us the death of WMAX. Perhaps he would also like to cover WMAX's debts to forum members via WMAX's estate.
Tomorrow,
I understand why you may feel suspicious of my posting, as well as my motivations for such. Let me give you a quick synopsis so you can better understand my involvement with the situation.
My first interaction with Chris happened late January of this year, in the chatroom of the Parts Express Forum. Since then we have chatted online on the average of about three times a month.
The first time I became aware of some of Chris's past transgressions was probably mid Feb, when someone who chris was in debt too called him out on the PE Chat. Chris Gave me a quick(IE: incomplete) generalization on what had transpired, But I did not push the issue at the time.
Several weeks back, I happened across this thread (as well as an associated, locked thread) which gave me a much better view of what happened. It was at this time I finally created an account here at this forum, though I have perused this forum many times previous.
I was able to chat with him but once after becoming more fully aware of the situation, but had to cut the conversation short due to time limitations before we really breached the subject. He had expressed some desire in our previous chats to recompense his outstanding debts, and I wanted to encourage him to do the proper thing and fulfil these obligations. I regret that I did not more directly address the issue in that chat, but it may not have really mattered, as this last chat occured on May 12th, the day before his untimely death.
I was informed of his passing by his father, who contacted my via Christophers's e-mail account yesterday at 6:43pm Central. The text Reading:

Mr. Warner. This is Christopher's Father. If you knew Christopher and admired his talent the way we did,....I'm very sorry to have to inform you that Christopher died Monday the 13th at home. They think he had a heart attack! I loved my son so much and just can't understand this! My loss is beyond any understanding and my heart is completely broken. He was such a special person.
I hope this has given you some of the information you were seeking. I apologize that I do not have any more information to offer you at this time. My interactions with him have all occorred within the last couple of months, and only via chat. I have never met him face to face, and have never even talked to him. I live almost a thousand miles away and have no reliable methods of contact with his family, in fact some memebers here surely have superior means to contact his estate than myself.
It saddens me that Christopher made poor choices that resulted in him be estranged from the commnity he loved, and that he died in debt to several members of this board.
I hope that all the individuals involved with this situation may soon find peace.
