no, thank you! (wow, that sounded lame, hehe)

I would just like to say thank you for everything you've done for home theater enthusiasts(typo?) and for what you said about canada. You know... if you like it so much here, maybe you should move up here, and clint, and, the whole shabang-a-bang.....to british columbia......in coquitlam....plenty of room!

Its nice to hear positive things about canada from american tourists. Seems lately that americans don't like canadians that much. I don't know how true this is, but its not a good feeling when I hear these negative comments.

It really speaks about the kind of company that axiom is when the let reviewers TOUR the factory, and see everything, in person, behind the scenes. You even had the opportunity to sit on the "dock" where they discuss and brainstorm for new products. Oh, excuse me, i reak of jealousy(typo?) hehe(not sarcastic).

thanks alot for the tours.

PS: you might have to get used to the cold. During the winter I sleep with the window open, in the basement, with a fan going. mmmmm typing this makes me sleepy.

Well done, I very much enjoyed reading the Axiom Tour #2. I was most impressed by the design elements revealed for their forthcoming digital amplifier. The photos reveal how gorgeous the Colquhoun's listening room is, which leads me to my comments.

I'm glad the room modes were mentioned as something of a saving grace to the listening tests/impressions. The room reflections experienced must have been akin to that of a raquetball court.

The idyllic peace and quiet of the Canadian countryside just outside the glass wall of the lakeside home we auditioned the system in seemed an odd counterpoint to the acoustic mayhem going on, to the delight of all those present, inside.
I say this with the utter most respect for this site and its authors: For the betterment of all who visit here and in keeping with your motto, please refrain from making any further listening tests or observations concerning speakers in your articles when it involves listening in a room that I can only describe as ideally unsuitable for audio.

Sheep;

Though I love Canada, I could never handle the cold 8 months out of the year. I am used to living in Florida where the water for the most part is 80-90 degrees almost half the year :) However, in my experience the hospitality and demeanor of the Axiom crowd and local neighbors is second to none. I am hopeful they continue to invite me out to their beautiful countryside and impressive facility to see what's cooking.

Hop;

As for room acoustics I am in agreement with you and its a point of disagreement I share with Ian. To his defense, the shape of the ceiling and the use of real wood on the walls, ceiling as opposed to drywall makes the room somewhat more palatable. That being said, this was one case IMO where the speaker system certainly outperformed the room it was playing in.

Muskoka is some of the best cottage country ever and has some of the best fishing in the world too. Glad you guys had a good trip again. Once again Canada rules supreme in the scenery and audio departments.

Edit. What the heck do you mean cold 8 mo a year. It's only cold 7 1/2 tops.

Gene, glad to here you enjoyed yourself up here in the Great White North! :D

you found the water cold? you're lucky 'cause the season has been exceptionally hot this year but it's always a bit cooler (and more enjoyable by the water front).

I live about 3 hrs from the Muskoka area and I have visited once so far. You've already beat me and I'm Canadian, you might as well get your dual citizenship! ;)

Nice article, always a pleasure to read AH!

Those on wall/in wall speakers look interesting. Will they be priced similar to the M3ti's?

Nice article, when's the tour of the Denon R&D facility in Japan???

Comment on what you said regarding Axiom's Digital Amp:

gene said:
Axiom has taken this design concept to the next level by developing one of the industry’s first high-performance full-range digital amplifiers.
I believe Yamaha has a high-performance digital amp out. Granted, it's like $5000, but I wouldn't say that Axiom is the first. The model is the MX-D1 and it looks like this:

The Axiom amp works a bit differently and more uniquely. It also uses a linear supply which has advantages over most switching supplies for increased headroom and reduced noise.

Oops, I didn't see the "one of the first". I knew they were different design philosophies. I retract my statement. I'm looking forward to their products too. If their other offerings are anything to judge by, then their electronics will be incredible values.
