The sub can be disconnected from the electrical outlet and the RCA cable and the hum is still in my 3 front channels. The long RCA run and the splitter are not even in the mix and this is still occuring.

My cable box just runs off of an ethernet cable noy coaxial cables in the whole system.

The only major change I can see is the sub is now located directly beside the Rotel amp.

I guess start disconnecting things one at a time until you locate the source component that's causing the hum.

Do you use any kind of power center that has noise filtering, like an APC H15 or something similar?

Then both the front sub and rear sub would be on the same side of the room. I can't swap the rear sub to the other side.

Well...I could but you would have to jump over it to get into the kitchen.
Put the sub back where you had it...

Could it be the amp and sub close together causing the issue? I was going to go move it out to see but lost motivation. Should I ground the sub amp and the Rotel together?

I got the Rotel from a buddy who was broke and struggling with being a homo so I want to keep it.

Epic? I think they make their drivers out of Cracker-Jack boxes...

AFAIK, the guys who started Epik have been making drivers since long before SVS started making their own and they were well respected as having some of the best drivers at the time. :)

The bird has landed.

I am really impressed with the shipping company they use "RL Transfer", they give you a 4 hour window and when I called them this afternoon just to make sure it was coming. They just asked what town I was in and then said, "Mr. Gable your sub will be there at 5pm". Once again the guy helped carry it into the living room and refused a tip.

This is the picture of the last one but it's the same as the new one so what the heck.

Those things look awesome, absolutely beautiful subs. Did you discover the cause of the hum or has it just become one of those minor issues now ?
