I want to buy the first season of one or the other on BD. Which one do you recommand?

Thanks!

Lost for sure. I would think the first episode's plane crash would sound great on BD, not to mention the afore mentioned hot chicks in 1080P.
Ooh, freeze frame/ slow motion.

I can't wait for the final season to start.

Personally, I think they're both great shows, and the first seasons of each are great examples of stellar writing and directing. It's a toss-up for me as to which I'd recommend, but I'll throw this out there: Lost definitely looks and sounds better on BD than Prison Break (not a huge difference, but a noticeable one).

cheers,

I just checked out the review of the BD on High-Def Digest. I just added the first disc to my Netflix queue. Five-star video rating for a TV show disc? I'm there.

Especially, when Kate was in her panties jumping into that water. OMG, she looked amazing. Nothing like using the freeze-frame option while zooming in on that panty shot. I be darn, now I am hungry!:eek::eek: Claire is hot as well. ;):D;) My vote is for LOST.

Cheers,

Phil

Yep. I'm looking forward to 1080p, which is higher res than the broadcast.
It's not in Blu-ray though. It's 480i DVD in 16:9 with DD. Still way better than broadcast with the upscaling but I might be missing something here. Am I missing something here?

Yeah, that it IS in blu-ray. :)

BTW, DVD upscaled would not be better than 720p broadcast (IMO). The image quality of the digital broadcast is really phenomenal, IMO. Actually, I've only seen it in reruns on 1080i, so I don't know what source material they are using. Perhaps the blu-ray won't be a huge step up from that.

  What the?!? Dude, sign up for blu-ray. It's worth the extra coin.
I did and I checked off that thing that get's me any title in BR if they have it and that works! I'm going to try season 1 then.

I just checked and season 1 is in BR while season 5 is in DVD. I'll give disc 1 season 1 a go and make a determination on whether or not to watch it all again. I really liked that scenery and the audio was quite good as well I thought.

As far as DVD's go I think my Denon 1920 was the bomb but I still haven't read the manual on the BD60. With a static image on the 1920 I found that my TV likes a 720p image the best. Upscaling to 1080i wasn't as nice. I have no idea what the BD60 is doing with a DVD if anything. I have manuals and projects coming out of my ears.

Check out page 34 of the manual. It discusses how to set the HDMI resolution.

I have my BD60 upconvert to 1080p.

EDIT:
I just checked and season 1 is in BR while season 5 is in DVD.
Delete Season 5 from your queue and then add it back. I can add Season 5 in blu-ray to my queue.
