Trying to gauge interest in 2 pieces of gear I have:

First; Approx. 1.5 year old Integra Pre Amp- used in dedicated media room; excellent condition... comes with all accessories. More information is below:

Next; my Outlaw Audio Amp (model number 7700) 7 x 200; used in dedicated media room and is approx. 2 years old. Perfect condition!

****Prefer someone local to Dallas/ Ft Worth****

If someone is interested; please send me a PM.... Thanks!

If I recall I think Warp has an Integra pre/pro. Maybe he will chime in.

If Warp had one he doesn't now, he jumped up a step or twelve into a Anthem Statement D2. I think RMK! still has the 9.8 though.

I believe he now has the Integra DHC 80.1 SSP. OTOH, Midnight might have the Onkyo equivalent of the 9.8, actually perhaps 9.9. adk highlander probably has the Integra 9.8. Maybe even Davemcc. Then a few other members here got some screaming deals thru a short lived Onkyo refurbed deal, like $600 or something silly.

64met, name a price on the 9.8. :D

Everyone seems to be on a constant upgrade path with their pre/pros.

I'm still on my refurbed 805. :D Honestly, half of the reason to upgrade (because getting the 9.8 doesn't really do anything for me at all, at this point), is so that I can help facilitate an upgrade for both my brother (needs HDMI audio inputs) and a close friend (with a dead system, hunting for a very basic receiver on the cheap).

This thread is derailing!:D

Is the TX-SR805 considered a basic receiver, or cheap? Thing probably costs on the electricity as well considering it doubles as a space heater.;)

Not exactly either. Cheap for the friend means the Onkyo-HTIB-receiver that my bro is using. Both of them will be over tonight for the full house showing of Inglourious Basterds tonight (how's that for a hijack :D).

The issue with my bro upgrading to the 805 is that's too darn tall for his TV stand's racks. But, he really wants the HDMI inputs.

As for heat, I have it set to 4 ohm, since it's just acting as pre/pro. It's not bad. The thing is a monster, considering the price.

I'd kill for a good deal on a preamp with XLR outs. If you don't have a sale: put up the price.

The 9.8 is a very nice piece of gear. Despite being a couple years old and a couple model changes behind, I can't think of anything that I need that the 9.8 doesn't do. It's holding up very well over time and I don't think there's anything out there that competes on price/performance, especially in the used market.

Guys; Thanks for all the interest.... Kinda in a holding pattern still and hopefully can move forward one way or the other in the next few days.

Happy Holidays!
