The morality of strippers

...I will always knock all of it. Drugs and excessive alcohol usage are for people who are so weak willed they need an escape from real life and like a panzy can't just deal with it.

Movies are also an escape from real life; as is a book. It's also unclear to me how you discern a low dosage of X to be different than a mild buzz of alcohol.

Why anyone wants to be drunk I'll never understand, because I'll never do it. I don't object to someone having a drink or so, but this guzzling it down is pathetic and trashy.

How can one comment intelligently without understanding?

Strippers are vile trash...anyone who will objectify their own body (and by same token, people who pay to see said trash) are amoral people that are nothing more than low class scum.

So then models and actors are similar? For that matter: blood donors and drug testers. It's not like my employer sees my brain as anything but an object I am renting out.

So let me make sure I understand. A woman with two young children looses her husband she's had since high-school. She has bills that cannot be paid at minimum wage and no job skills: but she can make $1000 a night dancing; she'll sleep indoors, her kids will not only get fed but she'll be able to send them to college: and the work is at hours where it's easy to get a baby-sitter (and she can afford one).

If she dances naked (BTW, what about people who play strippers in R-Rated movies?) she is amoral?

Sorry to go on the sidetrack again - no one will dare tell me my beliefs in having morals and values should be compromised and I refuse to do it for anyone. People slowly conceding that amoral things are okay and acceptable are what lowers the overall moral fiber of society, and it doesn't need to be lowered any further.

Perhaps: but I will call you out for hubris believing *your* moral code has some objective rightness over that of others.

Morals are subjective. Your morals may be completely unacceptable to someone from another culture. Morals are guidelines to living a good life, IMHO, but imposing those upon someone else defeats the purpose.

It's easy for someone to pass judgment when you have loads of money. This guy looks down his nose at people who drink,smoke and women who strip,I like to know what moral fiber is he talking about. On the side of drug and alcohol use, you have to remember that some of the smartest most respected people in history were drug and alcohol addicts. They needed to escape from thinking so much. Do you also disregard all fine art because it was painted, sculpted, or designed by someone that didn't fit into your morals? That wouldn't leave much of any form of art left to appreciate, especially music!

Well one of my best friends is a former stripper, who not only paid her way through college, but made enough to buy a very nice house and two cars all in full before she was 25. I work with the nicest lady who has a husband and kids and great family life and is of very high moral fiber, oh yeah she is also a former stripper.
