Seriously, though, I hope (and don't think) that anyone is judging you poorly on this. You made a good business deal, and I don't have the impression that you screwed anybody over in the process. Am I jealous? Actually, no. I'm happy for you. Jerry is getting (we all cross our fingers ) some great speakers and you're getting some extra cash. Maybe Matt learned a lesson, and maybe he doesn't care about this at all. Money comes, money goes. As long as we have friends, family, a roof over our heads, and food to eat, then I'd say we've got nothing to complain about.

Matt owned the rights to something. He decided to sell it. He sold it. He got his asking price.

I saw something I wanted it, I made an offer to buy it, it was accepted.

Everyone was upfront and honest with everyone else. Could Matt have gotten more money by selling in a different way? Yes. Could I have gotten the speakers for less? Perhaps. Could Alex have sold for more? Perhaps.

Matt got the money he asked for, Alex got the money he asked for, I got... well, I get to pester Chris; but come 2013... I'll have some awesome speakers.

On the drive back home my wife is on the phone with me saying how if I sent her the money she could blah blah blah ... She doesn't have any kids so she thinks that I was put here for her to raise. Can you imagine?

Actually it goes to credit card debt and a little itty bitty Blu-ray player ($109), router ($88) and a speaker design book ($32).

It's a wonder that I didn't just go nuts, paint my sliding glass balcony doors black, get an Onkyo 805 and go with front projection. Jostenmeat would have been proud.

I do need to get that girl a ring ... and an HDMI rec'r.

btw, my brother has to choose the source on his displays, and one of them doesn't even have discrete codes as far as I know, and must be cycled through.

I would consider giving/selling my 805 to him, but his TV stand can't fit the height.

There are others who might be interested, but to replace it with a dedicated pre is STILL expensive.

I got that D-Link 655 that Strube recommended. The book is Speaker Design 201 by Aldren I think that Swerd applauds. I don't think for myself at all.
