Baffles glued. I will post pictures tonight. I've only go to mount the drivers and crossovers now. Plus solder some of the connectors on to the binding posts. Once I'm don't I will try em out. I plan to paint and beautify later.

Perhaps. though I will likely just build a new sealed box to Chris's specs.

I do DB stuff. So I spent a lot of time waiting for paint to dry.

Here's the first pictures. They sound pretty good for my first build.

Notice the sub boxes are supposed to hint at future stands with some low wallop. I ran the auto setup and it made the speakers crossed at 60hz. I promptly moved it to 80hz. They have a very warm sound in the prescribed boxes. I will probably be giving the neutral boxes a go at some point. The subs I want will take time to acquire.

They are warmer for sure. I think the beta tweeter was a bit nicer, but the midrange wooofer of the madisound has a very nice sound IMO.

I will probably build the neutral boxes at some point to compare.

Major improvement

I just sealed and increased the dampening these boxes. Oh my how much better they sound.

I can definitely say this confirms a sealed approach is the right direction.

Even with the sealed the response changes little in terms of proper crossover according to my ears. I suggest a 100hz crossover for either. Sealed is clearly better. Wow. Alex I suggest you plug the ports at least and add more stuffing to see for yourself. Put them as close to the wall as possible IMO. It seems to really help the low end.:D

How much stuffing did you add?
I just lined every wall with acoustic stuffing. and ripped out the old port and sealed it with the circle i cut my jig with. The wall really helps the sound stage IMO. I suggest you not do as permanent of a change until you test it yourself. Our ears and rooms may have different preferences.

How much playing time do they have, so far? Have you noticed any changes since you began listening to them?
