Initial impressions: I have only listened to music so far due to the fact that my HDMI hasn't come in yet. I expected the addition of depth with the upgrade, however I didn't expect how this setup would handle the small stuff. The unexpected clarity due to this upgrade has been eye opening! I was impressed with bass tracks, however it was stuff like Miles Davis' Kind of Blue where this system started to shine. I had gotten used to the bass player being kinda an after thought with my system. The singer, or lead instrument was always well imaged, but the bassist was always knda in the background. Not any longer.
This step up tpwards a true hi-fidelity setup has even the wife pumped about new speakers! Who could ask for more? We are planing on moving to Paridigm S8 signatures later.
I think a hearty thank you is in order for all the membes on this forum. Without you this would have never happened and I would still have no idea what I was missing. The constant drive tpwards two or more subs is totally worth the effort. I have never heard bass sound so clean before, and I know it's due to what be learned here. Thank you all.
That said, I am the new official SVS spokesperson now!! I am thrilled with the build quality and performance of these subs!! It's almost as if I got a free recieiver upgrade along the way. And Polks have no business sounding this good!!
