Ah, cool, yeah Tiptronic isn't my favorite (I generally drive it in auto mode, but if I got a 911 I'd prefer something sportier than Tiptronic and a manual is a pain as a daily driver ... so PDK might be right up my alley, I need to drive one with it).

....

Made some progress with the rack today, put the wheels/base and sidepanels on, as well as installed some stuff just to hold me over until I have all the panels and faceplates I need (left the PS3 faceplate at work by accident, need something for the u-verse stuff). Going to do nice wire-management after everything is here.

Also need to play with speaker placement, I don't like the left one tucked near the rack like that.

Looks like extra crap because of the flash too (makes my temp-wire job stand out and you can see the transformer in the amp which you normally can't see)

Short an HDMI cable for my PS3, gunna drop by a friends and see if he's got an extra I can gank until mine comes.

Wow, that is some awesome looking equipment (although I'm no expert)...not to mention the view as others have mentioned.

Worked more on the rack today, cleaned it up a lot and tucked it back. Forgot my PS3 faceplate at work so it's sitting on top until I get a chance to toss it on this week.

Room sounds pretty good considering the room and placement, I'm going to work a bit on speaker placement next weekend. Going to try to pull the S-150s out a bit, so the left one isn't tucked in by the rack. That back wall is concrete so it doesn't do what I call "wall talk" as bad as upstairs (need acoustic panels up there). The sub is sitting on that red thing just until I toss some pads on the base to protect the floor.

Power down the right, signal down the left.

Need to pickup an Apple TV (I didn't bother running to Best Buy this weekend, too crazy around here) and order a faceplate for one. Also haven't connected any of the gear to the network yet, although I did install the switch (its facing backwards on the rear rails of the rack).

Peace!

Thanks man, I really like Sunfire subwoofers. I think they sound great, pack an awesome punch, and its only a 13"x13" cube or so. I only have one setup right now, the other one is at the office, but I'll probably bring it back and hook it up behind the couch and try some different placements to get reasonably flat response.

....

I got a few curious PMs... ;)

Isn't the C4S more for climates with poor weather though? I don't need all season tires or anything. If the weather is bad/a hurricane is coming through I drive my pickup truck.

Ordered right now from Monoprice.com, should be here in 3-5 days... which means 5 from California to Florida. :) 25-ft "professional" for under 50 bucks shipped isn't bad. Way longer than I need, but I've never said to myself "damn, this cable is too long" so I decided to get an extra 10ft.

I put on the PS3 faceplate this morning, still haven't picked up an Apple TV or ordered the faceplate/shelf for one. Ordered the faceplate for my U-verse box sitting on that empty shelf on the bottom there.

Going to work a bit more on this in the afternoon (putting the devices through the switch in the back, etc.).

320 of a tune I'm working on, might play it out tonight...

Nice! So call me stupid but you can buy pre-cut faceplates for certain components in the rack?
