Matt:

Just wondering, how do you like the Infinity Towers? I have Primus 150s as my main L/R Speakers and I love them. Can't decide If I wanna move up to Towers or not. Great looking room BTW.
I'm enjoying them so far, I put about three hours on them yesterday at some very high levels (wife and grandma went shopping:p) I had my sub playing with them though so can't really say how they sounded by themselves. Look for a new thread Sunday or Monday for a purely subjective comparison between the three towers.

I have heard the 140's in 250's and 360's used as mains. I currently have the 360's and use the 150's as surrounds. All of the different configurations worked well. My last step up to the 360's was a noticeable improvement in what I think is refered to as mids and mid base. I wouldn't bother getting the 250's because it's an intermediate step that you can skip across.

Don't get me wrong, the 250's sound good. It's just that the 360's sound better. So go get 'em Tiger. :D

that's a mean looking center!

rythmik front views? :D

The center has some weight to it, much more than I was expecting. Not as deep as the X-CS though which would make for more placement options.

If you think that center has some weight to it, what will you think of these ultra-modified 362s that could weigh up to around 160lbs each when completed? :D

Matt, I like that you have 362s in your HT that are stock. Within perhaps 5 seconds of hearing the ultra-modified units, it will be readily apparent that the modified ones can not be compared - as the difference is that large. It would be completely fair, however, to compare the modified units to Revel Salon 2 or B&W 802D. In fact, I hope that you can find those speakers in some stores around you, and I hope they are set up in good acoustics, so that you can evaluate them for the sake of relative comparison. I kid you not. :)

Recalibrated everything tonight with the Infinities and now only one sub.:( Picked up a cheap 19" LCD for PS3 updates, SMS-1 graphs and other misc stuff so I don't have to turn on the projector every time. Also installed some Auralex MoPADs from the Audioholics store for the center channel.

Good news is I took the Rythmic subs to the guy building my enclosures and got the T/S parameters off both subs. They were fairly close with the exception of the Ohm readings. One sub was 2.04 and the other was 2.84, I guess it's a good thing I wasn't running them in series. The enclosures should be done no later than mid December.

FYI- Sub is still for sale!!

Another FYI, I found out tonight by changing the phase on the HSU I was able to get rid of a null at around 65hz.

Yup a TV, I was looking at monitors but wanted to run HDMI to the PS3 and this thing was on sale at the PX so I went ahead and paid a little more.

Update with no pics....yet.

Ordered two sub enclosures from PE and a Behringer EP2500 for the Rythmic subs. If the HSU doesn't sell in the next week or so I should be able to do a comparison. All said and done I'll have just under $1k into the new subs.

Got one of my P.E boxes today along with:

Dayton BPFI-G Fully Insulated Binding Post Pair Gold
Dayton SBPP-SI Binding Post Plate Silver Anodized
Dayton DSS4-BC Black Chrome Speaker Spike Set 4 Pcs.

The other is on it's way and my EP2500 should be here tomorrow.

The enclosure has a texture to it that the pics on P.E don't pick up. It actually looks better in person.

Matt, that does look much better than on the PartsXpress website. It actually looks very nice to me. Congrats on your purchase!

I'll post a better review with pics of the enclosures when I make the cuts for the subs and terminals.;)
