I think I've got my system arranged the way I always imagined it should be. I found a rack that seems to fit the space perfectly. It's a 63" unit that I thought might be a little long when I was shopping but it actually fits perfectly. I do have my speakers spread about 5" more than usual to accommodate the rack and in one photo, it looks like the speakers are spread wider that my wall panels. But they're not. The speakers are actually directly in front of each panel.

Now I have two large open spaces in the rack on each side of the Rotel and I don't know what to put there.:D

Looks very nice Dave.:D So I've been meaning to ask, how do you decide between your 2 sets of mains? I see the dynaudio's in the photo but do you swap them regularly or are you mostly using this pair these days?

Don't laugh. I keep the Era on the kitchen table when the Dyne's are in play and vice versa, so there's always a set of speakers on the kitchen table. We never eat in the kitchen anyway. We always eat in the living room planted in front of the system watching the Simpson's, Scrubs or Jeopardy.

I use the Era when I'm going to listen to some heavier rock or metal. They seem better suited for that genre. My wife strongly prefers the Dyne's, so they do spend the majority of time in use.

Very nice, Dave! In the words of the immortal Cartman, "Super Sweeeet."

Does anyone sell swivel stands for multiple speakers? You could have both sets hooked up and in place, but rotate the top of the stand to point a certain speaker at you (and possible even make the electrical connection).

Wow, someone's got his braincap on, that's a very unique and brilliant idea! I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to construct such a stand. :)

Dave, the setup looks very nice! :D Since I've got somewhat of a similar speaker layout, relative to the rear wall, I've been thinking of picking up some acoustic panels to sit behind my front L/R's. Do you notice much difference with the panels removed, vs. with them on the wall?

Oh, and if I were you I'd get a small strip of wiremold to attach to the wall and hide the wires running up to your TV. :) But that's just me, I can't stand to see wires dangling in open spaces. Even the rear of my setup (the hidden part) is a lot messier than I'm used to, but I was in a hurry to get things hooked up. ;) :D

Maybe Adam should market the swival stand idea. It could be very lucrative:D

In this room, I can't stand to listen to the system without the panels in place. It's way to echoic and bright without some form of treatment. These are a couple of panels I whipped up with the help of a neighbor. At some point, I will probably replace these with something a little more professional but I couldn't deal without them.

Sharp eyes and a good memory, my friend. I moved the PS3 to the bedroom when I got the BD player. That way, I've got a wireless internet connection in the bedroom system. I've got the S550 in the rack for BD and my Cambridge player for SACD.

The SMS-1 is a different story. I've still got some issues with my PB12-Plus and until I get that resolved, the SMS-1 has no benefit. I've been rather slow to deal with my sub issues, but now that things are starting to stabilize a bit, I'll get it done soon.

As for the wires, yeah I know it looks bad. I've got bigger alterations to the house to do in order to get the electrical wiring done properly. When I can do the electrical properly, I'll get all the wiring done at that time.
