It's so nice to see other women in this hobby. I have that 5250 amp as well. Nice set up Cutter.Bigger is better!:D
I wonder if we should start an Audioholics Team Estrogen thread? Pink t-shirts maybe? LOL- kidding :) It is really nice to realize that I'm not the only female with this disease... once my 5308 is delivered I may be feeling...cough..cough..like I'm coming down with the AVR flu...must...stay...home...

Holy He** your speakers are freakin HUGE. They are really sick!!! Wow I am blown away at your setup. How did you decide on the RBH's?

As one of the few females on the forum, I am sad to say my desire for perfect sound far outweighs my knowledge of the same-- but I sure enjoy learning bit by bit (pardon the pun) on this forum! I will have to admit to being the antithesis of most women when it comes to speakers-- the bigger the better! They turn out to be the most talked about thing in my living room (no dedicated HT yet). And, all my friends DO make fun of me, but they sure do like watching movies at my house!
My current set-up:
RBH T-30SLE towers (165 lbs. each!)
RBH 6100-SE/R center
RBH 661-SE/R surrounds
RBH 66 SE/R rear surrounds
Parasound 5250 amp
RBH SA-400 sub amp x 2
Denon 3805 AVR
Denon 3910 DVD
SONOS
ReplayTV

Luckily for the neighbors I'm not home very much-- or else they'd probably lynch me for rattling their windows! Anyway, I'm glad to see more people embracing chics who like this stuff--

Loserwife keeps bugging me that she want the RBH T-3/R's and the whole T reference system.
When she reads this I'M DOOMED

Very nice setup! What a cool thing when you can convince a woman of the sonic virtues of a speaker like the RBH T30s without them flipping out over the size.

Great to see so many ladies express themselves about their audio love.
I love what my husband does and to see how happy he is with what he has accomplished is enough for me. That's why we like to share it at SOTU.
Just for everyone's information , I love audio too!
TICA :D

Thanks to all of the females who have posted here. I think its pretty cool you gals are joining us! There are a few females at other AV forums I frequent, but I never remembered seeing one here outside of loserwife, the spouse of our moderator.

I may or may not have seen cfrizz state that she was a woman before, but with all of the activity I get sucked into here, I have little chance of remembering.

I just wanted to say that I enjoy that females are contributing to discussions here. :)

I would have to say it is more my wife that in into the home theater thing more than me. I enjoy the technology but rarely watch a movie. So a huge TV really does not excite me as much. It was her idea to get a 5.1 setup, she has been pining for a projector for quite sometime now...

As a woman I have been into audio for most of my life.
Damn, girl. And I thought you were a guy all this time! My bad.:D

I love it when I can talk to women about audio & video gears.

And I respect women who are audioholics.:D

Holy crap!

I hate you, girl!:D

First I learn that you just got a Denon AVR-5308CI. Now I find out you have the RBH T-30SLE towers & RBH system and DVD-3910?:D

I really do LOVE IT when I see women who are Audioholics. Your passion for this hobby is all that matters. In time, you will know just as much about the specs and all that jazz.:D

You are the WOMAN!

But, I still hate you.:D

You know that Denon is making a new Universal player that plays Blu-ray, SACD, DVD-A, CD, right?

Please don't buy it because then I would have to hate you THREE times:
1 for the AVR-5308, 1 for the RBH T-30SLE, and then 1 for that new Denon flagship when it comes out. Yeah, please just get that Oppo BD player.:)

And POWER makes a difference too!:D Love that amp you got

Thanks! I really wanted the Parasound monoblocks for the fronts, but just couldn't justify the cost, for now. I just purchased a Denon 5308CI and am waiting on the OPPO bluray player. So much tinkering, so little time! That Sunfire amp you have makes me a bit jealous, to be honest!
You are girls are making me blush.

Here I am thinking that if I had the Denon AVR-5308CI, I would just sell all my amps and be quite happy and thrilled. And you ladies are talking about more power?:D

Where have all you wonderful ladies been hiding? :D This article has been long overdue and I am glad that I participated in the writing of it.

This is my take on the whole speaker buying experience, when it comes to evaluating sound, there's no substitute for your own ears. The quality of a system's speakers will make or break its performance, and you can't gauge that from specs or descriptions alone. Take your own discs so that you can listen to material you're familiar with. And even if you intend to use the system only for movies and TV, include some music CDs. They will make it a lot easier for you to spot problems with tonal balance.

Several of the AH members had the opportunity to visit our home theater in person. The sound in our HT definitely packs a punch. It's great for ladies night to! I love it...love it...love it!!!:D I think Mazer is afraid to come back to our house

My hopes are that more women get involved in the A/V world.
