Step Up 2: The Streets

I liked this movie. Granted, I almost didn't make it past the first five or ten minutes because it was so bad, but then it picked up. The plot is, well, not going to inspire any plays or anything...but, the acting was quite a bit better than I had expected. They were able to find some people that could not only dance, but act pretty well, too.

The music was catchy, and there were some dance moves that made me pause and rewind (more than once) because I was so impressed with what I saw. Not all of the dancing is great, but some is pretty cool. I don't know if all of the moves are done without movie magic, but I'd guess that they were.

Anyway, I'd say that it's worth a rental.

Two words: Brianna Evigan.

I'll have that card back now, thank you. :)

Ok, I'm going to go to my chambers with the evidence you have presented and I'll come back with the verdict momentarily.

Reminds me of a quote from Firefly. "I'll be in my bunk."

Must...create...new...mental...picture. Ahhh, Brianna. Thank you.

Here's a little quote from Hi-Def Digest:

"While dialogue seems unnaturally anchored to the center speaker, it remains clean, stable, and well prioritized throughout the entire film."

My question is, where the hell is the dialogue suppose to be anchored to? The surround speakers?

Oh, I forgot to mention. The people never speak when they are on screen.

Yeah, I don't get it. Maybe some of the dialogue should be coming from the left and right at times, but it's always coming from the center?

Hey Adam, the dancing has to be better than Tom Cruise's dancing in Tropic Thunder. Part of it looked like he was off-beat and out of sync-the other part looked like he just did not have any rhythm at all. Maybe some of the dancers in this movie could help Tom out on his next movie project that involves dancing............LOL!!!!!!:eek: Thanks for the review.

Cheers,

Phil

Great Bass

Okay, I just saw this movie on blu-ray, and I thought the 5.1 PCM soundtrack was fantastic.:D

Dialogue is clear and the music has awesome wall-rattling deep BASS!

I thought the PQ was also excellent.

Of course, the dance sequences are so fun to watch.:D
