That looks great. If you follow the treatment advice you were given I think you will be extremely happy with the outcome.

What kind of lighting are you planning on using - for someone who is going the projection route it is extremely important.

The other question is how are the risers made? If they are hollow wood you will want to fill them with insulation otherwise they will probably ring like mad.

All lighting on the floor will be Red led rope lights and on the ceiling all the way around. Then in you notice on the columns I'm going to use low watt sconce lights. I plan on doing a star field ceiling in the front ceiling area of the room.

The floor is built out of 2"x6" and a very heavy 1 1/2" MDF type material. I plan on having the floor cavity blown in insulation.

Everything sounds great and well planned. Just make sure the cavity is stuffed tight you don't want any gaps in there.

I guess it is not your fault. We had our house built last year and is the first one out of the last 3 that we didnt have a dedicated HT room built. I am uncertain what I was thinking:mad:
Sorry dont mean to make you sick.....:):):)

Well this is my first house and I spent hrs trying to figure what I would want.
I wired the whole house for in ceiling speakers and speakers in each garage and all the patios (12 different zones total) Wired the living room and master bedroom for 7.1 in wall and ceiling surrounds and plasma TV's in both. 35" for the bedroom and 42" 1080P in the living room. A receiver and blue-ray player will hide inside the kitchen pantry and run the video in the living room as well as all the background speakers thru out the house ( Except the master bathroom and bedroom) Master bedroom with also have a receiver and blue-ray player and run audio/video in there. Let me tell you my current storage unit is piling up with boxes of new electronics for the house. AND I CAN"T WAIT!!!!:eek:

That looks like it'll be a gorgeous space David. Lots of room to work with. You should be able to get great performance in there.

What? Me jealous?

Well maybe just a little.

Beautiful setup. How many subwoofer drivers with how many watts LFE will your Deftech DefTech setup have in there?

No, I'm not jealous at all. At least that's what I'm telling myself.

Each BP7000SC has a built-in 14" SuperCube subwoofer driven by an 1800-Watt class D amplifier, two pressure-driven 14" infrasonic radiators.

CLR-3000 has a built in 10" Sub and a built in 400 watt amp.

Each Super Cube reference Sub has a 14" Sub coupled to two 14" infrasonic radiators and a 1800-watt class D amplifier

Each BPVX/P has two 6" subs and a built in 400 watt amp.

So gives me a total of
13 Powered subs & 8 Passive subs
4- 14" Subs
1- 10" sub
8- 6" subs
Total built in amp power is 9,200 watts total.
I'm powering all the mids/highs with an Emotive IPS-1 150 watts RMS x 7 @ 8 Ohms for a total RMS power of 1,050.

Wow I think I gave myself a hard on, LOL hahahaha
