This movie has been on my must buy list for what seems like ages!! After much waiting, I was happy to see it's DVD release arrive yesterday, and I immediately picked up my own copy without hesitation.

As a fan of the Die Hard franchise, I have very high hopes for this movie. Based on everything I have heard...... I hear this movie lives up to it's billing:D

I picked up some frosty adult beverages, and I plan to watch this movie later today:cool:

I want to get a couple beers in me first.... HEH

This is also high on my list of movies to watch, but believe it or not, I've not seen any of the Die Hard movies, so it looks like I've got some catching up to do. But I'm sure this one won't dissapoint.

I'm jealous, BN. I didn't realize it was coming out this Tuesday in time to add it to my Netflix queue, so now I get to wait until the initial batch gets returned. No turkey day Die Hard for me. Oh, well.

Woah.... IMO....the "Die Hard" series is classic!! You must be a youngster to have not seen any of them:)

I have the platinum boxed set, and I've been dying to add this one to the collection. I still remember the day I watched the first one in theaters during a summertime date....HEH

Summer of '88....that was a fun summer indeed!! Summer of '88 was the summer before my junior year in college.

PS.... you definitely have some catching up to do!!

I'm 29, does that still qualify me as a youngster? I just never got around to watching the Die Hard movies, I still haven't seen ET either, but I have no desire to see it either, but I have seen all the Alien movies, and I want to watch all of them again as well.

LOL...no.

Rather....I'm getting old:eek:

I recently hit the big 'four-oh', so I understand why something like Die Hard might have slipped past your radar. The fun part is discovering all of those movies you you missed because they were a little before your time.

One that comes to mind for me was "Halloween". I still remember to this day asking my parents to take me to the movie "Halloween". I was in the 5th grade and saw the movie poster and I wanted to watch it soooo bad!! I had no clue what it was about, but I liked the pumpkin on the movie poster.....HEH

Needless to say... my parents said no, but I have since caught up on the series:D

ET sucks 100%.:D
I totally hated ET.
Sissy whimpy movie.

Yes, I would love all the Aliens on blu-ray.
Loved AVP on blu-ray. Can't wait for AVP-R.

I will be comparing the soundtrack of Die Hard 4 to Transformers.:D

Have all three of the previous Die Hard movies and am a big fan of them. So soon as the newest one came out (which I didn't get to see at the drive-in this summer) I bought it and watched it last night.
I'm a big fan of the first three Die Hard movies...

I can see that and I'm sure 4 will grow on me. My biggest complain was that the script writing was poor?

which version did you buy? there's an unrated version ... what's the difference between that one and the regular PG13 version?

The one I got was the unrated, I think it also had the theatrical release on it. Not sure what the differance is.

The unrated wide screen DVD has both unrated/rated versions on it. After watching the unrated version last night......I'm guessing the primary difference is the "F" word.

This movie is non-stop kickass fun from beginning to end.

I loved it! I'll probably watch it again before this long weekend is over.

Hi,
first time on this forum...saw the Die hard thread...I picked up the 2 disc steel case unrated version. Awesome sound, but too bad the DTS track is missing - the box cover indicated DTS and DD...DH1 and 4 are my faves out of the series.

DH4 is that good? Of the 3 that I own, I like the one with "airport" the best.

Noooooooooooooooooooooo.

Die Hard 3 Is the BEST!

Samuel Jackson (He’s a great actor), filmed in New York. Samuel Jackson's constant berating of Bruce Willis was hilarious.

In terms of special effects; the best whole lower Manhattan thing was off the hook. Then driving those huge dump trucks (rummmmmmmmmmmmmble) through the NYC Aqueduct tunnels was unbelievable.

Where did he get that phrase from?
Was it Yosemite Sam?

Definitely one of the best ALL-TIME movie franchise!
Their sequels keep on getting better & better & better.
Action. Fun. Story. Sound. Effects. Everything. Awesome.
