I know these are White Van, but would they be worth a laugh for this price?

The link comes up with a Denon 5805. Is that what you wanted to show? Not quite understanding.

What the hell is Point Source Realism, is that just jargon?
Point Source Realism:
Customer - "So what is Point Source Realism"
Cadence Tech - "It's our proprietary technology that truly creates sound from the speaker you're looking at as well as a visual image in your brain of what's making the sound."
Customer - "You mean..."
Cadence Tech - "Yes! It causes your imagination to work without you having to use it to create an image in your head"
Customer - "NO WAY!"
Cadence Tech - "WAY!"
Customer - "But what about Bullet Phase Technology?"
Cadence Tech - "Ever seen Heroes? It can phase bullets."
Customer - "Awesome. How much?"
Cadence Tech - "Only $99.00 for the pair AND it's DTS/Dolby compatible. For another $10 bucks we'll also make it backwards compatible with all previous sound formats!"
Customer - "Sold"

Yes. Yes it does. And no, Seth, I wouldn't waste money on that. You can buy a lot of music or movies for the cash, or you can put that money towards upgrades.

ok now i dont know about you guys. but if were talking about the cadence speakers. i have cadence components in my car and they sound pretty good with amazing midrange.

cadence is a reputable brand in car audio, if the drivers are by the same company i dont think they can sound too bad.

I bet for $100 you can find a better speaker on craigslist.

I am going to join right away...the wealth of knowledge over there is amazing!!

I went to Bestbuy and had them show me what difference a Monster Ultra THX 1000 cable would make. So the Salesperson hooked up the manufacture cables and gave me 2 minutes of listening time. He then reattached the Monster cables and that right there was enough to say damn...they do make a difference. Now I'm no idiot , on running straight to the counter with Monster cables from Bestbuy. I went back home and hopped on my favorite website...eBay...thats right! I got all my cables for less than half price and now just waiting for them to arrive.

My point is that the speakers alone dont make for a nice setup. Cables are just as important. Always ask the manufacture as to what type/size cables did they use during the designing of the speaker. Also your Source aka receiver needs to be of good quality. I currently have the JVC RX-D412B ($370) digital receiver with 130 watts per channel. This receiver can deliver the 100 Watts RMS that is required to drive these speakers. Without enough power to these Cadence speakers you are only going to bottom out, making the speakers sound muddy no matter how loud you turn the volume up.
And a quote from an admin over there...

There are indeed two sets of binding posts. By default they are not set for bi-amping. When you buy them, leave a message through ebay or paypal or call us directly and we will adjust them for you. If you have any further questions you can call Jason at 800-477-2328.
Sounds a bit fishy to me...hmmm, not setup for bi-amping unless you ask them to connect the posts correctly!! What is that about?

Point source imaging is a real thing. Apparently it refers to actual images and not stereo images, however. Maybe it can be applied to speakers that have a really narrow soundstage and horrible phase issues!

According to that site, I need some better speaker cable :p Im just not getting all I can out of my speakers with the normal monster XP (Which Im ashamed to own in the first place) BTW speaking of ashamed to own stuff, I have a set of white van speakers that were actually bought form a real white van. I didnt buy them, my friend did, and then gave them to me (we were 16) they have been sitting doing nothing for a long time. If you really want authentic white van speakers you can have mine.

Save on shipping!

The ad says "Each tower weighs in at a hefty 38 shipping pounds"
To save on shipping. I wonder if they'll remove the little red bricks from inside?

My BOOKSHELF speakers weigh 38lbs each...without a brick.

I can think of a lot of other things to do with $100 besides these guys.
