The Pats are back to beating teams and beating them up just like the good old days. I haven’t seen the D and special teams fly around like that in years. Drake Maye is arguably the best pure passer in the league right now. His 2 TD passes were things of beauty. That 33 yarder looked effortless. Can’t believe he’s only 23. If they beat the Bills in 2 weeks they win the division and get a home playoff game. I’ve been waiting to go to one since the shutdown. Nothing like a playoff game in Foxboro in January. Go Pats!

They're saying he's the best deep thrower currently. Overall completion, 68.8% is the best in the history of the NFL for young qb's. However, it's difficult to say what will happen. The ones who are effortless it's difficult to determine if they have that killer instinct.

If he turns out to be 1/2 of the QB Brady was I’ll be a happy fan. The sky's the limit for Maye. It’s been a fun season. I forgot how much fun the game can be when the team is winning. Too many years of low expectations like when I went to games in the 80s And early 90s. We always said no matter what the tailgate will be great.

I don't think there's that many comparisons. Brady was more intense etc. Maye is more somber. I thought of Brady as this low round draft pick who ended up having an insane work ethic because he lacked those natural gifts and became what he is. Montana, Maye etc strike me as naturally gifted, effortless etc. Driven like Brady? That's another matter.
