So much for parental control. Lock them up, and also the gun dealer that sold the guns to a kid.
Welcome to america. No thanks. The place has gone to the dog's

You actually believe that a licensed gun dealer sold the weapons to a 13 year old? If he got them from licensed dealers, then by all means, prosecute to the full extent of the law.

Where did he get the $$$$. Don't think it was free.

Friends or parents.
regardless and if so IMO it constitutes a 'straw purchase' , but given how so many pathetic liberal DA's have handled such, the parents would probably walk. This mess further proves why so many parents never should have been.....

Haven't seen anything about that but it seems that the phrase 'radicalized by an extremist network' is being used used more often, so I guess parents are off the hook for awhile.
I saw the extremist network was identified as our nazi friends.

It said many of them are ghost guns, meaning not much traceability. This is one grey area they need to close the loop on.

But it's really the same as telling those who can't legally possess guns that it's illegal- they don't care and won't stop. Someone will always do or make something fo those who operate outside of the laws. If the sale of ammo is banned and made illegal, it won't be long before it's widely available because the US has a helluva lot of people who know Chemistry and metalworking.

Some states (like Wisconsin) have limits on what judges can impose as sentences and it's time for the DA offices that go for the easy plea deals to be changed or re-staffed. There's a saying about lawyers creating a moral break between themselves and the suspects because knowing that someone is guilty AND trying to prove they're not is the same as if someone who's not an officer of the court avoids providing info- it's obstruction of justice. The suspect is supposed to have a fair and speedy trial, so for the sake of speed, they offer a lesser charge and most plead not guilty, even if the number of witnesses and amount of video/audio evidence is overwhelming- the burden of proof is on the government, after all.

... Silly people; any kid can make a zip gun although appropriate antennas are getting harder to find; and anyone competent with hand tools can make a WW2 era sub-machine gun; even without 3D printing.

Once the knowledge is out in the wild untraceable fire arms are just a matter of desire, time, knowledge and effort; and I am not counting the spare parts sources that let any untalented, non fabricator assemble firearms (note; a FFL (federal firearms license) is needed to legally purchase a frame (with a serial number).

Use your intellect not your emotions... "You can't put the genii back in the bottle."

Enjoy!

Makes it more difficult anyway. Still better than dropping post-86.
