When I became Audio Pharmacist. ;)
Wait a minute, You weren't a pharmacist back in 2011? So you have only been a pharmacist since when? 2025-2011= 14 years as a pharmacist.

Always wondered how you find the time to hang out on AH, plus text people from your cellphone number. Pharmacist that I know personally like, my pharmacist at Walgreens, they really don't have time for anything else but, fill prescriptions.

Are You really A pharmacist? Or are you Andrews, sister-in-law who is the boss of everyone in Andrew's family? Lol
OMG! I get it now!, your a Karen!:p;)

Same here, once in a while I'll post up a cartoon in a political thread on steam vent just to joke around some. Thing is about those political steam vent threads bunch of really good AH member's hang out in those. They are Very knowledgeable when it comes to audio gear, speakers and will go out of their way to help anyone. But talk about political issues and you'll get bushwacked! Lol.

Trell? Helped a lot of people with audio video gear and speakers very knowledgeable. I had my share of run-ins with him on political issues. I've come to take him with a grain of salt he wasn't a bad dude. He could get crass though, especially when it came to politics.
I wasn't saying anything bad about him, just many agree with his politics :)

and I agreed with much of what he said, trouble is the minute you didn't he labeled you a 'Trumper'. He was quite naive, but then I never have had much respect for the far left or right........

I am getting tired of this discussion. As far as I'm concerned the guy has a chip on his shoulder a mile wide, and that's the end of the story.

He and I are somewhat aligned in our political views, but I certainly wouldn't lable him - or myself - as far left. Maybe centre/centre-left, depending on the topic. However, I keep my politics confined to the Steam Vent and try to keep my disagreements civil.

Me? The guy who has voted for the NDP once in his life, as a protest vote, with every other vote going to the Conservative or Liberal parties? Pinko? I don't think so.

Seriously, I have no life.
Too bad, but I have to confess his ad hominem attacks were a major disruption on the forum and so unnecessary when he had so much to contribute.

This is usually out of character for Scandinavians, but may be his blood line was from the Vikings who plundered England and had half the country under Danelaw, until Alfred the Great got the better of them.

But in the end it was brains over physical strength. Alfred started research at Chatham on the Medway, to develop sailing boats that could sail multiple directions of the wind, not just at the stern sail and not require oars. It was an outstanding success and the Viking long ships were no match for these new sailing ships.

The final battle took place at Tilbury. That ended the Danelaw.

That is a long way of saying that regretfully you made the right call.
But still, Danelaw lasted until 1066. Nasty fighting.

We need someone like Trell to keep everyone engaged. You don't necessarily have to reply to him, to some comment/remark you don't like. Yes, his politics does not agree with most, and he might enjoy stirring up the pot.......lol
Has anyone made comments about you to someone else that could actually be considerd 'libel' or referred to in a way that was so bad you had a hard time remaining uninvolved.

His posts were often useful outside of the Steam Vent, but when he started being belligerent in audio threads, it was unnecessary. That type of engagement isn't needed.

Should there not be decorum in the Steam Vent like you would expect or hope for in the other sections?

Well, when someone is 'steamed', it isn't always pretty.

The saying "Never discuss politics or religion in a bar" exists for a reason- the discussions easily become heated, without a good reason. The only reason I have been heated is because some people threw crap in my face or lied about me (Trell, on both counts).

Poking people endlessly is annoying and sometimes, reactions are stronger than necessary- I have edited comments just to avoid escalating- most don't, even though it's easy. If I read something I post and can't answer "Is that really necessary?" with 'Yes', I edit.

I never thought that that title means you get to spew. I personally have never used it for that. It least I don't think I have! A better title might be "off topic forum" or some such. Seems perhaps that title gives folks permission when maybe that was never intended.
