That receiver is a seven year old design as far as I can tell. It is impossible to know whether it is worth repair or not, as it depends what the problem is. Sending it in for repair is an open ended bill.

What I do know, is that receivers are a very, very bad investment. I know members are slow learners, but far too many fail prematurely. Seven years of use before blowing up is unacceptable. Now I know some will chime in that they get longer use, and they do, but far too many do not.

We have members now salivating over a receiver with 15 power amps. I guarantee there will soon be a bunch of sore heads among purchasers of that monstrosity.

Rather than fixing that receiver, I would look for an older quality two channel integrated amp, and connect it to your TV for audio, with an optical analog converter if your TV has an optical out.
