Goin' dual. Looking for dug-in opinions and discord

All things considered, I have a 5,600 cubic foot room. The living room itself where my system is located is probably closer to 3,000 cubic feet however I have a large opening into another room, a hallway and kitchen attached which account for my initial large number. I have had an RBH I-12e subwoofer for close to two years now and as some of you may know it has long since been discontinued. The I-12e used to wow me however, I can only seem to get my "money seat" to have any meaningful bass. SO! I'm ready to move on and reap all the benefits of dual identical subwoofers. I plan to place the subwoofers in opposing corners (Front right corner, back left corner). I am looking at several brands which seem to fit the Bassoholic standards and my budget. A couple of the entries have specific reasons for being on the list. SVS seems to have mastered constantly being in my face and they look good. It seems I can search for any HT related products and SVS pops up first in my results. My dad, the initial spark of my A/V mania had a downfiring HSU that really impressed me. So, as the title of my thread suggests I'm looking to be swayed one way or the other. My picks are as follows:

SVS PB-3000
HSU VTF-15H MK2
Outlaw Audio Ultra-X13
Monolith by Monoprice 15

Please let me know what you would pick or feel free to add other suggestions, thank you. I attempted to attach pictures of my current setup however, they were too large. If pictures would be helpful I will try again.

Current 5.1.2 setup
Yamaha RXA-3080 A/V receiver
RBH R55 Impression series towers (L & R)
RBH R56ci Impression series (Center channel)
RBH R55wi Impression series (L & R surrounds)
RBH I-12e Impression series subwoofer (FR corner of room)
RSL C34E (front presence in ceiling)

I love my experience with the outlaws so far. Hsu Vtf 15 is supposed to be great. Monolith h 15, too.
I don’t think the Pb 3000 is right for that size room. (Not saying it’s bad, but I would consider 4000 series for >5000’3.
Of course, Rythmik, would be a consideration in my book, too.

I would caution against automatically corner loading. I’ve actually had bad experience with that strategy. Hook up a sub and do the crawl to locate the best places in your room. That, coupled with some room measurements will yield excellent results! Also, read about the Geddes approach to multiple subs. :)

No bad choices in that bunch. I think you will be quite happy with whatever you end up from those.

I agree with RynoDino’s sub crawl advice. It’s quick and pretty effective. He’s also quick with good advice in general.
I will also say though that my space is a little bigger than the OP, but similar in shape and corner loading works great. I’m on concrete, open to kitchen and foyer and hallway and 12’ vault between kitchen and LR, so there’s plenty of room for bass waves to be. In @ryanosaur s room, it’s smaller, on suspended floor, and oddly shaped so what’s that mean? Experiment.

Don't forget JTR, Seaton and Funk! :)
But pricey... Even Rythmik pushes that line a touch, depending on what you look at. But SVS too, when you consider how much their CS Policy probably adds to the ticket. *shrugs

Awesome advice! I have done the crawl before and to my ear the FR corner of my room seems to be the right spot for the single sub. I thought it only natural to start in the opposing corner. I will no doubt be doing some more crawling once I get my new two. I had never heard of Gedde's so thank you for that as well! I plan to get a mic and run some sweeps with REW like you suggest.

Thanks again!

Those PC-4000's are slick. They'll definitely have a higher spousal approval than the other choices. I was hoping to stay under 3k. SVS has these listed at $3,400 which I may be able to swing.

Gonna' have to look into those rythmik's.
I have two pc’s in my room and I love their look. They almost match the silhouette of my towers and IMO blend nicely. SVS has legendary CS, and for some that’s all you need to know.
The value crown probably goes to HSU or Rythmik but it’s hard to measure.

Sorry I'm joining this thread late, but given your setup, John520, my $0.02 may be of some benefit. I'm running a 7.2.2 setup in a 2700 ft^3 room with RBH SV/R LCR speakers and two Hsu subs: one VTF-3 MK4 and and one VTF-3 MK1. Yes, it's a "Frankensteined" setup but bear with me... I did a subwoofer crawl with the MK1 (before I acquired the MK4) and found the best spot for a single sub as well as a good null point. Happily, the best spot was between my AV cabinet and my left main speaker while the null spot was between my AV cabinet and my right main speaker: it makes for an aesthetically & functionally clean setup. No matter which sub I put in either location, bass is powerful, articulate, and even in EVERY seat in my room... including that mother-in-law seat! I have only had experience with Polk, Paradigm, cheaper RBH, and Hsu subs. But given the multitude of reviews and opinions I have read online combined with my experiences, I don't know why anyone would spend more to get the same or less performance (and aesthetics) than what Hsu subs provide; those other subs you are considering cost $100s more than Hsu's flagship. If you want an absolutely ridiculous value, a considerably smaller footprint, and linear response down to <= 18Hz, consider dual VTF-2 MK5s for barely more than the cost of one VTF-15H MK2. (I know I am!) Then again, I can't imagine how good two VTF-3 MK5s or two VTF-15H MK2s would be, but my room is too small for a dual setup with those bigger models. I have both of my current subs only dialed to 1/4 to 1/3 volume and my setup will shake the walls when my processor volume is >= 55% volume! In the end you must, of course, decide what's best for your room and your tastes, but I hope my account helps you and potentially others.
