Anyway, getting back to the thread topic, the Norwegian Hegel company and their products, if you like their amps, just go for it. Made in Norway.

I don’t know if I like them at all, right now I do have a ”proudly made in US amp”, that I am not going to change unless anything much better comes in.... there’s lots of possibilities.

I started this thread becase I found Bent Holter, video and explanation interesting and hoped hou guys would too

Maybe I will get a Hegel, maybe not ...
Maybe I will get a Burmester 956, maybe not ...

Electrocompaniet AW600 / Nemo is absolutely crazy

I was auditioning Vienna Acoustics Mahler with Nemo mono blocks, the dynamics was so strong that I felt the mid bass was interfering with my heart rhyhtm ...... crazy

I was playing Underworld so loud that the whole block was disturbed ... LOL ....

There are some really good products at noodles budgets too .... like Wharfedale diamond series and NAD amps ..... but now I am talking 2 channel, which is my path

I got a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 9.0 a while ago to be set with a cheap, small Class T amp, connected to an Apple TV 3 and there is a full music system for $270. I was amazed at how well this works.... these speakers are not in my posession anymore but thinking of getting a new set. These speakers cost me $72 !!
These are incredible speakers at this price point, even finish is pretty good
The way they are packed and shipped ..... bl%#$y amazing.....

I have no idea how it is possible for Wharfedale to make speakers at the price points they do, incredible overperformers.

Dynaudio too never failed to amaze me, and they start fairly low in price ... I have quite often found the smaller Dynaudio's with smaller woofers to be better working than the larger ones, maybe something with piston control working better with smaller woofers sometimes, I did direct comparisons within a model range and smaller ones were clearly better. All else equal.

The smaller floorstanding Audio Physic models are shocking, but maybe we are trespassing noodles budgets here, and I guess overseas shipping make some of these products not such a good deal as over here

Unfortunately I don't believe you have Danish System Audio over there.... Danish dynamite too

Hegel have some cheaper amps too, but nothing at noodles budget

Noodles budget is not a blocker for great musical experiences

Doubt I'll find but a few of those at least for online pricing, thanks! Will report back later. Some states have a sales tax of up to 10% (think that's about max right now). Feds haven't applied a VAT....yet

These are retail prices, depending on margin probably some negotiation room there as well, especially for multiple pieces. I live in a no sales tax state, but if you had the 10% on top....

I don't have any need for any of it, altho wouldn't mind testing it out....
