I doubt the electronics are warm. Do you have early reflections from the room? Are your ears older? Have you tried a rising EQ on the top end?

XPS-1? or you meant XSP-1?

The STR preamp is a very different animal than those two Emotiva analog preamps.

If you find the sound too "warm", you should try a different cartridge. Most well made modern pre-amps/amps should be transparent, so they are not the issue. Also, if you are using a MC cartridge, double check that you have selected the proper input impedance to match. If not, you probably should try a MC type and see if you like it better. Speakers and room could be the main reason too, have you tried changing the toe-in angles, and keep the speakers further away (at least 3 ft) from the walls?

Yes sorry. Is the emotiva preamp xsp1 gen 2 with xpa 2 power amp, I now emotiva is good but I think anthem str preamp with anthem power amp , will give more detail and trasparent sound than the emotiva I hope will demo the anthem soon on a dealer , I know the room count in sound too , I notice my legacy speaker are not alive with the emotiva sound, I think other option is the Schiit Yggdrasil dac with emotiva xsp1 maybe will give me more sound stage ,

Incremental improvements with electronics if what you have is capable of driving the speakers without clipping. Electronics should have no sound without EQ applied. I'm sure if you did purchase the anthem, your ears would convince you it's better. Speakers provide sound, amps power the speakers, and pres provide the amplified source. Speakers provide the sound stage not the gear. Sounds like setup issues

What are your music sources ? What type of music do you listen to?

Early reflections won't make the sound warmer.

Did you find the sound too warm for all sources, or only the phono? If phono only, or mainly, please refer to my earlier post. The Anthem amps won't, shouldn't sound difference to you, given what you have now. I am familiar with their products, own one, they are transparent like any well design amps.

You think emotiva vs anthem are not much different in sound you think ? You think if I invest in good quality dac maybe give me that sound I whant , is better to invest more money on anthem?

You told us that already. Those are good speakers, so are your amps, you read Gen's reviews on XPA amps right?

If you won't answer my questions on the media sources, and speaker positioning, I can't try to help you further, hopefully others can..
