8 TT's to get you 'in' .......top 8, not hardly.

Regardless, today there are so many good TT's at affordable prices that depending just how serious one wants to 'jump' there's one to fit !

As I don't have a hermetically sealed dust free environment in which to play my records the turntable I choose better come with a dust cover. :p

Nice list, though much obscure to me. I always end up buying at least a couple on the day.

Seriously, I have no life.
$6500 (US) for a turntable! Better speakers / subwoofers would be a better choice, just my 0.02 cents. :p
ANyone who pops for a $6500 turntable should already have better speakers and may not even need subwoofer(s). Also, subs are usually a bad idea when a turntable is used, unless the table is completely isolated from the room.

At $6500, the bass from full range speakers would cause as much problem as a subwoofer so good isolation would be a good idea whether speakers or subwoofer.

agreed, but as for the MT2 @ 4k with what looks like a Sumiko Blue Point might just be a sweet package. I wonder if they teamed up with Clearaudio on the piece ?
