Has anyone tested the prestige 2000sw, can anyone explain the 12hz DIN? Does the low pass filter (35Hz to 150Hz) mean anything when the AV receiver controls the sub?

I've always wondered what the DIN audio spec standards are but didn't find much in searching. In this thread it's apparently footnoted for some Paradigm speakers/subs as DIN 45 500, which apparently is -3dB in a "typical listening room". Here's a review I found with some measurements, and another here.

Some subs when you use a dedicated LFE input bypass the low pass filter on the sub, but to be safe just turn it to max value when using your avr for bass management....check the manual.

I wouldn't worry about any 12 Hz spec on this sub. It isn't going to be doing much at 12 Hz no matter what room you put it in.

I leave the knob set to 80hz on the sub, I’ll try putting it to bypass and see what happens.

Thanks.

Any advise the dB that I should see when set at 12o’clock I’m hearing around the high 70’s when I run PBK.
