I'll admit that these are first world problems but they are irritating regardless. It is the year 2016, right? Ok so why is it that the Xbox (both the 360 and One) cannot properly output video and audio??? There are STANDARDS for both audio and video that have been set for quite some time. The Xbox One cannot output audio correctly. It takes a 2 channel stereo signal and outputs it as 5.1 so only the left and right speakers play anything and ProLogic processing in a receiver does nothing. Why? I have no clue. The Xbox 360 outputs stereo audio ok but video is totally messed up regardless of the settings I choose. All of the video output from my Xbox 360 has awful black crush. Why???!! There are standards for all of these things! Then there are the other audio problems like the movie I am currently watching on Netflix through my Xbox 360. Beyond the black crush which is driving me nuts, the 5.1 audio track had all of the sound coming from the front left speaker! I don't know if this is a Netflix problem or an Xbox problem but does it matter? It's 2016 and this crap shouldn't be happening.
