The list of exhibitors for the RMAF is impressive, with a lot of forum favorites making an appearance there: Legacy, Funk Audio, Hsu, Salk, RBH, Adam, JTR, SVS, and so on. Parts Express is going to be there. And, of course, a lot of the super high end stuff. I am hoping if one of the regulars who post here attends RMAF, they can give us a report.

I plan on it if I don't have to be in Missouri for the next 2 months, I should know this week.

I'll be there all day Saturday! Definitely up for meeting, maybe for lunch? Last year my two friends and I went to the Mexican restaurant across the street and it was awesome.

I went on a Sunday a couple years ago, that's when I pick up a couple hsu subs. I'm leaning towards Saturday this time around.

This guy is all about some good Mexican food.

Went there yesterday as I'm in the area...it was helpful that I was picky about which vendors I went to go see. Was really excited to see Salk Sound was there as I've heard a lot about them on these forums and got to actually hear them. Very nice and flat with a good soundstage, Jim Salk was very informative and cordial as well. I went to go check out SVS but they didn't have the SB-13 I was wanting to hear and was catering more to a 7.1 system setup with their cheaper sub. I saw a lot of snake oil cable vendors there too that I steered clear of otherwise I would've gotten into an argument about a lot of their B.S. claims.

I got some records from the vendors in the ballroom, Acoustic Sounds was there and got to talk to them about record mastering sources and whatnot.

Overall a good experience.....I just wish VPI had their own vendor room. I saw in the booklet they were in three different rooms but it turned out to be a room where there was a VPI turntable there instead a VPI vendor room itself. Same thing with Oppo......they were listed as being under CanJam (which I guess was this separate headphone area) but didn't have an Oppo-specific vendor room, but instead only a room that had Oppo equipment as part of their signal chain. I was surprised to see Emotiva and Avalon absent from the festival, especially Avalon, who's from the area as they are headquartered in Boulder.

SVS stellar deal:
5 of the prime series mini monitors and a sb1000 for a grand! Smokin deal for a smaller room.
Gary said he'd put together a pkg of the larger Prime bookshelves/ 3-way center and irc the minis as a pkg too.
They're doing some good work at SVS as always.
Cheers, Mac
