Fuzz, that blurry photo of your little buddy looks like the kind of proof-of-life photo that Bryce would send. Actually, it's more like your camera was tearing up along with you as you snapped the image. Sorry that you left him behind - I'm sure that I'm not the only one that will want to know how he's doing.

The new place looks really nice. I like the view from your window. Remind me - how many square feet is your new place?

I'm not sure what happened there. It's probably because he was fidgeting and I was trying to get him to stay still for a minute.

He's getting worse which definitely ruled him out of coming. He's up to 6 of one of his pills per day, which puts his total at 13 pills every day for a 22lb dog. He's still happy and in good spirits but at this point it's only a matter of time before he needs a major procedure or the pills stop helping. I'm hoping his heart just stops beating one night so he can go peacefully and at home rather than decline to the point where we need to put him down, but we shall see. I also hope I get to go back home and see him before then or my mom might bring when she comes to visit sometime which will be nice.

The view is great. No main highway or large parking lot. Plus there's a little pond area behind our building and they're adding a carwash area, picnic areas, and trails into the woods.

Wow, that's almost as big as my house! That's a good amount of space for you two. I'm glad that you both got jobs and didn't have to go with a smaller place.

Thanks. We keep saying that if we end up staying here for a few years we won't want to buy because any house we could afford probably wouldn't be as nice as this place. It's brand new and we are the first residents. The building isn't even full yet.

Believe me, we have the space, I just don't want to get us tossed out from shaking the building

Finished building out first tower today.

got to see the man shooting at us get arrested by the military.
He was quiet rude and babbling on then he would have shot me in the next day or so.

The Australian military don't take to kindly to such a nasty thug.
Fuz is that a house if so it's quiet large and makes me think about my own house,

in Australia witch I won't see for a few months to come.

Wait until you see what jerks neighbors can be. You'll be in a house before you know it. You think people with stereos are bad? Wait until you see what people let their kids do. The best way to calm the little f^%&ers is a little sleep deprivation in the form of Master and Commander every night at their bedtime ... oh yeah.

I bet it's a Mo-Pad. There's a little angle on it giving it away but it could just be a glitch in the Matrix. Run for your life.

My T220 monitor sometimes just turns off. A search shows that everybody but Samsung knows about this issue. I got an email in with this guy:

Spending small amounts of money keeps some of the boredom at bay when I'm not working. Hiding my purchases keeps a little more boredom at bay. Getting caught and being spanked ... well, that's not really an appropriate topic for this thread.

I may as well go down to Eddie's and try to undo the damage I did to those Infinities. To get a little extra top end roll off I have been hanging a towel in front of the tweeter and mid. Not a great look but ... whatever.

Word. Not so much anymore, but I used to order a bunch of small things from Amazon when I was on vacation so that I would get a package delivered just about everyday. It was nice to have something to look forward to.

It turns right back on. The system I set up down at Eddie's requires an HDCP compatible display for the OSD menu. If the CL guy calls I'll take the extra inch and extra pixels of the 23" 1080p Asus and use the 22" Sammy with the 1050p on the 606 Onk. I asked Craig what monitors he uses and never checked for a response ... or I don't recall reading the response.

I ought to see about taking a little road trip to TO. Maybe I'll go haunt billyp. How do they separate the men from the boys in Greece? With a crow bar.

They are some older Dell's. None of them are HDCP complaint and only have DVI inputs. I was hoping to budget this year for a couple of 26 inch models but other staff really needed new computers so I will wait until next year.

Yesterday, I put a number of things out for a donation pick up. I got home last night after dark, the stuff was gone, and I had a receipt from the charity placed in my door. All normal.

So, imagine my dismay this morning when I saw the bulk of the stuff that I had set out sitting across the street on my neighbors curb (including several bags and a mountain bike). Looks like a set of PC speakers is missing, but the rest is there still in the bags. I'm leaning towards being upset at my new neighbor and thinking she swiped it, but that makes no sense to me (as I don't think she was home before the pickup occurred) unless her mom (who I think is visiting) doesn't understand and thought it was put out for anyone. However, if she took it, I never would have gotten a receipt from the charity. Plus, why swipe it only to put it back out where I'd clearly recognize it (it's still all in the same bags with my labels on it)? All very confusing. Anyway, I contacted the charity and let them know the stuff is out on the curb again.
