looking for the right amp

So I know almost nothing about speakers and amps etc, and i just got a pair of floor standing sony speakers for christmas so now i am looking for the right amp for them.

The speakers are 200w, 90dB, 8ohms, but i might send them back for smaller speakers ( 150w, 8ohms, 88dB) or (120w, 8ohms, 88dB) depending on the cheapest but still quality amp combination i could get. I've heard you don't need an amp that has as high of a wattage as the speakers but it depends on how loud you push the speakers, and they will be used for parties sometimes so i will need an amp that can handle the higher volumes.

Ive heard that the LP-2020A+ Lepai Tripath Class-T Hi-Fi Audio Mini Amplifier, and Sonic Impact T-Amp were good (and really cheap) but wasnt sure if their wattage was enough and was wondering
1. if either of the amps would be good fits with the speakers i have
2. for what speakers they would work with that i listed above
3. and if not what would be the minimium specs for the amp i would need and any suggestions you would have for specific amps (cheaper the better)

Exactly what speakers do you have? and what is your budget? and what are your sources {cd player, TV, ect?}

with an efficient speaker (90db is efficient), you don't need much power at all,
the dayton dta100a is $69 and gives 50x2,
the dayton apa150 is $125 and gives 75x2
The topping tp60 is around $200 and gives 80x2

or you can go with a stereo receiver vs an integrated amp
$99 for 200w Amazon.com: Sony STRDH130 2 Channel Stereo Receiver (Black): Electronics
lots available, insignia, sherwood, onkyo, pyle, ect all make cheap stereo receivers.. you can get kenwood a4060's for $40-$50 on ebay..

it all depends on your budget...

That link is the speakers i currently have above

Below are the ones i might get instead
Floor-Standing Speakers - SSF5000 Review | Sony Store U.S. - Sony US
Performance Bookshelf Speakers - SSB3000 Review | Sony Store U.S. - Sony US

My budget (considering im a college freshmen) is nearly nonexistent which is why im considering getting the cheaper speakers in order to buy the amp, so anything under 100 dollars is good, but i could go up to 150 if needed. My source will mostly be mp3 player so an AUX port is essential (i assume most amps have one) but will probably use the speakers for TV too.

Here's what I would do in your position - aka very limited budget:

a) Do not buy any more speakers for now

b) Do the speakers mod described in this comment (by Gtsone)
Amazon.com: William Kautter's review of Sony SSF-7000 Floor-Standing 4-way Speaker...

Scour local CL for used A/V Receivers - I could bet you could get a decent one for $50
If you need help with that - you'll need to provide which large us city is closest to you

Don't worry about aux port - this cheap cable should take care of the input from your mp3 player - 6ft Premium 3.5mm Stereo Male to 2RCA Male 22AWG Cable (Gold Plated) - Black - Monoprice.com
