I hope someone can help me with an answer to why the sound keeps cutting out/fading from my center channel when I'm listening to 5.1 surround sound from either my Digital Cable HD PVR or Oppo DVD player, that's connected directly to receiver using digital coax. If I switch the Yamaha to 2.1 sound field, it works fine.
Can be fixed temporarily by unplugging unit, but this only lasts for a couple weeks before it acts up again.
I'm concerned that fixing will cost as much as upgrading to a new receiver or is it a easy fix at my local electronics repair store.
