Yamaha Releases New LPX-510 3-chip LCD Projector

Ever since our first glimpse of the LPX-510 at CES 2004, we've been waiting for the release of Yamaha's newest 3-chip LCD projector. The preview we saw at CES was an incredible demo, without a hint of the "screen door effect" typically associated with LCD projectors (at least not from our viewing position). Features include three 0.7" 1280x720 LCD panels, 800:1 contrast ratio (stated), Faroudja DCDi video processing, 10-bit A/D converter, HDMI inputs, and 3000 hour bulb life. The LPX-510 looks to be an excellent value at an MSRP of just $5495.
