XBOX 360 HD DVD player

while reading the stats on the soon to be available hd dvd player i noticed it said 7.1 dolby digital..now my reciever is 7.1 and my dvd player will be 7.1 ..but we still need these movies to be made in 7.1 right...and if thats the case ..why does this dvd player boast 7.1 when my reciever already has a dolby 7.1 ,,i looked at the toshiba hd player and its says its 5.1 So is there any point to that hd dvd player being 7.1?

As I understand it, you are correct in that there is no media currently encoded in Dolby TRUEHD (7.1 discrete.) But that future HD media may use that, so I assume that's the reason for stating its output as 7.1.
