Wired Subs-> using a 'wireless kit'

Just wondering if its foolish to use a wireless kit that can be found out there to make a non-wireless sub into wireless.

So far, the few 'kits' I've found do not have very good reviews. Recommendations on a good one?

I use a pair of rocket fish units for my subs and they work great.

Outlaw sells one and Aperion Audio sells one, both are similar and similarly priced. Those are the ones I'd start with, but read the info on them as with any wireless of this type (line of sight), they do have limitations.

I'm presuming that all are 'line of site', no?

Given that requirement, does it have to be 'nothing in the way'? For example, couches...

I do think most on the market right now are line of sight, but I could swear I saw some (may be "coming soon") that aren't. Yes, a couch would be a problem, but the receiver can be mounted away from the sub.

One of the biggest issues is a time delay. Not a problem if you use a receiver that assigns distances to each speaker. Expect your wireless to show farther away.

I think the general suggestion will be "don't do it unless you have no other options".
