Last year I bought a yamaha rx-v667, outlaw audio lfm-1 ex, energy cb-5s, energy rc-50s, and an energy rc-lcr. I chose yamaha and energy because of my experience with the brands as well as the prices of the products. The outlaw I chose based on price (got it when it was on sale) and user reviews mostly - glad to see it get a quality review from audioholics as well :D

Oppo BDP-95 - It's a reference quality product designed with value in mind.

Outlaw 7900 Amplifier - Again quality and performance at a value point that doesn't break the bank, also it takes up only one large rack space.

Question 2:

How familiar are you with Aperion Audio?

Very familiar.
I have owned a pair of 6Ts and a 6C, a pair of 5Bs and a 5C, and have just recently upgraded to the Verus Grand Towers and Center. I still have the 5Cs as surround. I love my VGTs!

Question 3:
In the past year have you ordered any home theater equipment? Optional follow up question: What brand did you end up going with and why?

Yes.
2011 was my "finally get a home theater" year. I bought an:
Onkyo TX-NR 808 AVR. I bought it for its $/features. It sounds good but it irritates me that it cuts the LFE when run in "Pure" or "Direct" modes.
Emotiva XPA-3 I love this amp. I use it for my front 3 channels and the Onkyo for surrounds.
Sony BDP S480 blu-ray player. All I need for now, nothing I don't. Saving for an Oppo.
Aperion VGTs & VGC. What can I say but, I've heard much more expensive "audiophile big guns" in some very impressive set ups, both in home theater and 2 channel "purist" dedicated spaces, and the Verus Grand Towers can play with them all. I'm not saying they are better, just on the same playing field.
I am now in the process of building a pair of BFM Table Tuba folded horn subs. They won't do alot subsonicly but should fill in to the mid 20s Hz nicely.

I'd say B. I've heard of them many times, been to the site and have always been curious to hear them, but haven't had a chance to.

Question 3:
In the past year have you ordered any home theater equipment? Optional follow up question: What brand did you end up going with and why?
I had a number of pretty decent upgrades this year. Earlier I added my Emotiva XPA-3 to power the front three speakers because it was a good price and I wanted more power for my 4 Ohm speakers in my large-ish room. Knew of the brand for a long time but that was my first time buying from them and I was not disappointed.

Not too long after adding the amp, I felt I needed a bit more sub too, so I added the Epik Empire. The Empire was fairly new at that point, but Epik was commonly discussed as a good product on many forums so I gave them a shot. Again, the price was right for the performance it offered.

Just last month, I added the 55" Samsung LED because it was the one I wanted for a while and it was on sale. I have worked at two companies that produce manufacturing equipment for LCDs and for the most part, I know that Samsung makes some of the best panels.
