Looking at starting my home theater build just got a Denon 7.2 receiver. Now the question comes do I got with def tech or SVS.

With a handle like BigTimmy, you gotta go huge. Toss caution to the wind, get a pair of Wilson Audio X2's.
Why play with the small stuff? If I had a handle like BigTimmy, you'd see some risk taking for sure.

On a more serious note, there is a lot to know before giving serious speaker advice. What will you be listening to or watching? How much room space do you have? Do you have a spouse that can overrule every decision you make? Budget ? Stuff like that.

Until we know a fair amount more, I'm sticking with the Wilson Audio X2's.
