I got a center channel TV bracket for $1 on eBay. One. Dollar. I was the only bidder. And since the seller lives in the same city as me and he agreed to meet, I didn't even have to pay shipping.

Brand is unknown. Could be a Center Stage bracket, or it could be a knockoff. For $1, I'm not picky. Seller claims it holds up to 40 lbs. I don't doubt it. It's very sturdy. The seller even included some rubber shelf liner.

If you met the 'seller' at your home, maybe it's time to change the door locks and consider some type of alarm system. :p

Mercy, what is going on? First I buy a tablet - then now I buy a cell phone!
I do not need anything fancy, just the basics. So, the LG Phoenix 2 is
enough for my needs. That thing called a camera on it, is halfway decent.

Now the unique thing is, that nobody has my number yet. I am not real big
on phone calls.:)

Ha! Sounds like me.
We have a landline at home. It's unlisted and unpublished, but we give the number to family and anybody who is important.
I give my cellphone number to anyplace that requires a phone number, but I don't really care to hear from. I assign a unique ringtone to family members.

So whenever my cellphone rings w/ the default ringtone, I ignore it. We also don't get all the junk calls at home on the landline because none of the places that give your number out have our home number. It's a win-win!

I have always taken the position that MY phone is for MY convenience... not yours. I pay for it and I'll use it, or not use it as I wish. If you can't get in touch with me, it's likely by design.

Today's picks at the local record store, evidence of varied tastes in music. ;)

The Euge Groove "Play Date" (promotional copy?) was the only used one, the other 3 new. Those include Johnny Cash "Unchained", Tedeschi Trucks Band "Revelator", and Neko Case "The Worse Things Get The Harder I Fight". I also picked up a used Blu-Ray set (Blu-Ray & DVD) "Transformers, Dark Of The Moon" and ordered the Chris Botti "In Boston" Blu-Ray.

Just bought a refurbished set of JBL S500 headphones. Joe albeit Afterlife recommended them to me and I am so glad that he did. At first, they were cutting in and out and were crackly sounding. So, I thought that they were defective. But, as it turns out the cable was not snugly in place connecting to the phones. Now, they sound fantastic!

Just started getting into phones here lately. My neighbor that resides below me as been complaining a lot lately about my music. Now that all of my set-up is dismantled have been looking for alternatives. So, going to order a set of powered monitors for my desktop and will be using the JBL S500 headphones so problem solved.

Just yesterday I went to audition some headphones while in Target. To my surprise, the headphones that I really liked were the Bose SQ 25's. WOW! Really liked them until I seen how much they cost....LOL!!! Too rich for my blood.:eek::eek::eek: But, they certainly are the best that I have heard so far. Even better than my JBL's. Just don't have an extra $300 right now. Might get a set down the road.

Cheers,

Phil

After Bose laid off my son (and about 349 other technical support specialists) to move their jobs to the Philippines this year, there is nothing I'd ever buy from them! Not that they had anything except the noise canceling headphones that appealed to me anyhow....
