Vintage Boston Acoustics Speaker Question

Hello AudioHolics Vintage members,
I have a question I was hoping someone might be able to answer for me.
I recently purchased a pair of BA150's. They look to be in near mint condition but, I was surprised at the sound.. (not in a good way). The sound was off to me. The tweater and mid range was over-powering the Woofers. Is there a way that I can tell if the woofers in my BA's are orginal?

Thanks for your time.
Jack

Likely something is wrong. They were actually a pretty decent, well-rounded speaker for their price.
Could be crossovers giving you trouble as well. I'm not an engineer as some here are.

This is a photo of the back of the original driver, you can pull it and see if it matches yours.

I have a pair of the A150 III. Boston probably does not have any more of the exact replacement woofers, but I bought a set of them a couple of years ago. You could call them and just see if they by chance have them. I think when I bought them it was ~ $30 - $50 each. It's worth a phone call.
