I'm looking into this sub because a guy in my area posted it on craigslist. However it's about 5 years old he says and hasnt used it for 2 years roughly. He said it powers on fine and works like new, and I'm welcome to listen to it. He was asking something like $190 for it and I've offered him $150.

Is this a fair price on this sub, considering the age? I was thinking about getting the Dayton sub because it will have a warranty for at least a year, correct? What are the chances this Velodyne will fry in a week of use?

Reports the CHT 10" was sold for $500US in 2003. He goes on to recommend this subwoofer especially at the price range.

Is this review biased? Does anyone have any experience with this sub?
usually, reviewers quote the SRP of the unit and not the street price.

and then, a lot of subwoofers have come out that really redefines value, especially the internet direct brands.

I had a CHT10 sub and if you can get it for $150 provided it is in good shape, it is probably worth it. It is a pretty decent sub.
