First timer on this site, so please excuse me if I haven't posted this in the most appropriate forum.
I have a sony PS-LX340 turntable that I am having a problem with. When I try to play a record, I have to turn the volume up VERY high on the reciever to hear the music. I currently have it connected to a sansui "blackstack" stereo system, but I've tried it on another reciever with the same results. I am plugged into the phono jacks, and I tried the phono 2 jacks as well. If I turn the volume up far enough, I can hear the music just fine, although it's quiet. At the volume level I'm using, it would shake the floor when listening to any other device. Any ideas?
